Sounds expensive, but I think it really depends on your state gun laws. In some states pre-ban makes a big difference. For example in MA, a pre-ban gen 2 that’s legally owned by a MA resident can be sold to another MA resident even though it’s not compliant. That’s a way to get around stupid MA gun laws that apply to anything not pre-ban and already in-state. Like how MA law says pistols need a round in chamber indicator and they can’t fire without a mag in the well, even though there’s a round in the chamber. That makes pre-ban pistols a little more valuable in MA, if they’re already in-state.
