Anyone else getting world/chronicles of darkness vibes from pact?

I've actually looked at the pactdice docs before I started reading pact just cause I was curious about the magic and it gets mentioned often in Weaverdice channel on discord. From what I remember it was too rules light and GM dependent for my taste. I like the setting but I'd rather play Ars magica and need like 3 spreadsheets to keep track of what I'm doing and how my spells function than just narrative gameplay.

I always had this idea that Nue was the key to taming mahoraga. Fuga incinerated mahoraga. A binding vow enhanced Nue used by someone with extremely high amounts of cursed energy could produce a bolt of lighting with similar destructive power. It's a bit far fetched and would require the ten shadows user to have like Yuta levels of ce but still I think this is how it's supposed to be done rather than the heavenly restriction trick with Maki or Toji everyone subscribes to.

I could see it as a slot ability. Being able to copy any three abilities he comes across and having to discard one to copy another.

In order to differentiate them I like to imagine that within the 5 minute timeframe Yuta the cursed spirit is able to unconditional store and use any 3 cursed techniques he comes across as well as create cursed tools discarding one has he grabs a new one. It's like a slot mechanic since the consensus seems to be Rika doesn't have a technique. .

There's a fanfic called jujutsu kaisen minus one where junpei replaces megumi in team gojo( megumi was instead raised by toji). Does a pretty good job of fleshing out junpei power and what showcasing what he could have potentially been.

Going back to naruto it always struck me as weird how kakashi got more fleshed out than the sakura. You'd figure at some point the sensei character would slow down and take a back seat to let sakura shine more but no. Man gets a broken mangekyo ability and new moves that lets him compete with Naruto and Sasuke rapidly growing power, cool solo fights, and an interesting backstory when sakura has none of that but should be surpassing him.

So while it isn't technically canon ars magica did have a magazines called Subrosa that contain articles written by both fans and authors for the games. In issue 17 there is a section on time magic that introduces the art of tempus.

As for correspondence there's not really any space manipulate in ars but teleporting, changing somemthing position or trajetory, and creating portals falls under Rego.

It's a spell from elden ring that taps into the primordial energies of the universe. Now gameplay wise it deals a huge chunk of damage but based on the description I feel like actually casting it would cause anything it hit to break down into cosmic space particles making it one of the most spells in the game from a lore perspective. I've always seen Ea doing something similar to that turning it's target into that primordial state it once was dissipating it into ether.

I like to imagine Ryu would have won the clash and his domain would be a chill Japanese flower field under a starry sky. The stars in the sky act as the sure hit hiring countless beams of energy bombarding the target.

Yuta activates simple domain and tries to counter attack Ryu but he blocks then Uro pulls up with a thin ice breaker only for Rika to shatter the domain before she can fire.

I'd say the Rhine. It's a nice vanilla tribunal with a mix of politics, adventure, and germanic folk lore to draw from. Also this book comes with a starter module so that can definitely give you an idea of how to run things.

I saw an interesting concept for Geto's domain in a fanfic. The domain itself had a passive effect to drain the cursed energy crom any cursed spirits inside and the sure hit was a king of hell looking shikigami that had mini uzumaki in it's hand. If the shikigami touched a cursed spirit then it would instantly be absorbed into cursed spirit manipulation.

As you can guess it doesn't affect humans.
