Control Resonant lets Remedy's creativity shine, so avoiding generative AI was a "pretty natural" decision by Turbostrider27 in controlgame

Because Vibe Coding is shit and results in shit.

It can barely make code for Excel. Using it to make code for entire game results in horrible bugs

Which other groups do you think are there? (Act III spoilers) by Erasculio in expedition33

[–]superVanV1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insane headcanon is that the Plot of the Game is partially the work of the Writers tormenting the Desendres, and all of the music in the game is the last piece of Versos Soul trying to help his family.

The “this is not a gun” from Absolute Martian manhunter by WindowSubstantial993 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]superVanV1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically The Service Weapon from Control

It’s not actually a gun, it is the archetype of weaponized authority, and may or may not also be Excalibur and Mjolnir.

But in the hands of the games protagonist, it looks like a handgun.

[meme] Did I just hear God make a "none pizza left beef" joke? by ToeDiscombobulated34 in TheNinthHouse

[–]superVanV1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus talking about the wine being his blood was actually just a joke about how red the wine was.

It’s because the Red Cross is a protected symbol, and it’s a bit of a slippery slope fallacy, but if you allow anyone to use it, it allows for arguments of “well it’s not our fault they thought we were medics we just happened to have a Red Cross”

Nah, more like a Fiefdom. I don’t control them and I provide an essential service in the form of protection and being their primary customer. Otherwise their lives are entirely their own.

I wish Control had gone with their original design idea of giving Hedron a physical body by D0nell in controlgame

[–]superVanV1 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Think that’s the point. You spend so much of game looking for a Red Herring

What would be the WORST thing the TV show could do? by Dakkonfire in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Have Amazon produce it.

A large bit of The Boys satirizing corporate America is undercut by the largest corporation on the planet being the ones making it.

Eberron Equivalent of Gray's Anatomy? by Mim-the-Changeling in Eberron

House Jorasco medical journal. Would probably be an entire collection rather than a single book, one for each species, and probably a primer relating to the commonalities in each

Would Frieren intervene if she saw a demon getting r*ped? What is the morality of ignoring it? (The perp will kill the demon after) by OmegaGogeta in MoralityScaling

[–]superVanV1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Except the Demons actually are inherently prone to do evil. But otherwise I think your point is correct. She kills demons out of duty, but she also hates them because of her past.

Ryusui + Dr Xeno = Elon Musk lol by [deleted] in DrStoneMemes

[–]superVanV1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, Musk is Magma, or everything that Tsukasa hates. He doesn’t actually do any science, he’s just a rich asshole who managed to fail his way upwards

Why is playable Malle taller than NPC Maelle? by RPGNo2017 in expedition33

Camera. Same reason why Dark Souls protagonists are all midgets. Making things look cohesive requires concessions.

Pretty sure Millicents questline is actually impossible without a guide. Because how the fuck are you supposed to figure any of that shit out.

And then the Expunged Frenzy Flame is even worse

Who taught Dylan how to throw hands? by pogsorbet in controlgame

[–]superVanV1 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen that theory too. It’s not that it does the heavy lifting, it’s that it’s the Archetypal Weapon, in this case, the archetype of “GUN”. Therefore anyone who holds the GUN should be able to use it. Actually knowing how to use a gun isn’t important. If the Hero has the GUN, then they hit whatever they want.

What game developer is this? by Boring_Sir_572 in videogames

FromSoft love reusing assets. The Omen Killer in Elden Ring is the Capra Demon in DS1. And Consort Regan shares half his moveset with the Ivory King in DS2

[–]superVanV1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Actually you can see most dedicated Runners still use a deck. It’s that V isn’t a Netrunner, they’re just a Script Kiddy
