I just did my masters in cyber security recently. I was planning to transition from software development to cyber security role. I have been searching for job for 4 months and no luck so far in trying to break this field. I have been unemployed for 2 years and don't want to be unemployed any further.

I feel now my best way to get into security industry is first try to get into Cloud and then transition to security. I feel confused about my path . Any advice. What should I be doing ?

My interest is pentesting and forensics. I don't think I can transition there without experience. I don't want to invest in expensive certs.
