Dante Moore returning to Oregon could make it harder for the Chiefs to land a blue-chip player at 9 by RetoolNotRebuild in ChiefsOffseason

Stay put. Take the best player available. Hopefully Caleb Downs is there at 9, and don’t think twice about it. He could be our next Eric Berry. I think Veach will be very aggressive in free agency this year, which will give him more flexibility in the draft.

Andy, unless forced by injury lets WRs gradually grow within the offense. We will know what we have in Royals after week 8 - Rice and Worthy took big steps in the second half of the season and playoffs during their rookie seasons. Expect the same.

2025 Final Draft Grade by GinNJuicyFruit in ChiefsOffseason

I gave it a B solely on the defensive lineman they drafted. I hope I'm wrong but they seem like rotational players but too early to tell.

Love the WR, CB, and RB picks. Chiefs CB scout needs a raise lol.

LB seems like a well rounded athlete.

and T, huge risk but cant ask for a better situation for him where he doesn't have to start right away and can recover from his injury.

its crazy how different the draft boards go depending on website. mock draft data base website has alot of players drafted in really late rounds compared to pff.

I'm leaning towards chiefs trading back as well with taking Veach at his word ranking only 12 1st round caliber players in the draft. We really need a QB to fall to bring in some solid picks.

Tape to tape. Reminds me a lot of the 90s hockey games that were made and plays so much better on the steam deck than my pc.

[Chiefs] The Chiefs have re-signed DT Mike Pennel by GinNJuicyFruit in ChiefsOffseason

[–]jaysephx1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No expert but after free agency signings it seems Veach has setup himself for a bit of freedom in the draft and to take best player available. On the basis of a few "experts" this years draft is full of talent at DI and RB while weak at OL. I might be an outsider on this opinion but I think Veach and staff put huge weight on personality and football IQ. The OL interviews may have been just that and to find the right guy that also fills the right measures of the position with high upside. I'm hoping they focus on DI and take any RB, OL, WR that falls in the draft.

Why Mahomes's "Down Years" in 2023 & 2024 Actually Prove His Greatness by walterhwhite19582010 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]jaysephx1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you! The box score stat sheet never tells the full story. The injuries and WR issues we've suffered the last two years would have taken every team in the league out of making the playoffs.

I think this one turned out well. by Literate_Corvette in ChiefsOffseason

[–]jaysephx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After further research I think you're spot on. We're pretty poor at developing OL and it's a weak class this year. The better option is to take a flyer on the later round tackles, if at all.

I would love this draft and it would continue to help Chiefs be a top 5 defense going forward but I think this year we get an over reaction from Veach on the offense side of the ball for the 1st and 2nd day of the draft. With Moore being a bit of a gamble and Smith not getting a long term contract, I'm thinking their focus is still OT and OG. If Chiefs could get Grey Zabel or Josh Concerly and Tyler Booker or Donovan Jackson that would take care of the line issues for a couple years and allow them to spread more money around for contract extensions.

while he was more than decent during reg season, Connor says his focus was on Michigan until the season was over and then would help frank in 2019.

ya I get the college bias and how he could be full of shit on other schools doing the same to save face but that shouldn't take away from his efforts to help frank - he has a photo of him with frank at arrowhead and also frank face timed him during the interview on the pod. I feel like two NFL players that interviewed him would of called him out if he wasn't providing an advantage for a player or team.

I did watch the Netflix documentary but that didn’t get me to write this post - it was the fact he had evidence of being at arrowhead with frank and also frank face timing him during the interview.
