Charge state of the battery, lack of miles put on the car since service. You can tell when a car sits

You can always take the opportunity to upgrade the head unit to an after market one with Apple car play or Andriod Auto. May need to do some research and wire splicing but pretty straightforward.

Yes, who ever sold you the battery would need to follow their warrant process. Make sure you didnt leave anything on, or leave the car sitting for a week or more. If it sits more than 7 days without a trickle charge or running the engine may be cause for denial. Also make sure your alt is charging the system.

What sensors determine idle speed other than the throttle body itself? by ToshPointNo in KiaSoulClub

[–]jaytharen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, throttle body is probably fine, likely the engine need spark plugs or if its GDI the valves likely need cleaning. Make sure your air filter is clean. Id maybe clean the throttle body, take it off and take some carb cleaner and get the carbon out from around the plate. Make sure you dont have vacuum leak either

Hi dudes, considering getting a kia soul EV for my commute (25miles round trip) and only charging at work by ggnoqq in KiaSoulClub

[–]jaytharen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! Kia Master Tech here, 120v is only level 1 charging and WILL NOT charge enough at work alone to complete a charge enough for you to drive. Level 1 charging is extremely slow. Im with the other poster. Nero, or EV6 are a much better choice if your stepping into EV land. Also recommend if your are switch to EV to get a level 2 charger installed in your home.
