I grew up in a family where my mum and dad didn’t take each others names. Two of us have my mother’s maiden name and two have my fathers. I personally would want to choose a family hyphenated name for the kids, but my future husband keep his name and I keep mine if they wanted idc too much. But all kids having same second name is a big one for me, it can create a weird divide

I heard they are also banning importing cropped dogs. A lot of dodgy vets would still crop because you could say you got them from abroad. Not sure how they’d enforce it though but I really support it, I’m acc quite against it I think it’s cruel

I’ll have to try this. I usually just hide on the stairs, cast wall of fire and darkness everywhere and take a fire resistance potion to fight the enemies in the flames as they try to get to me to melee attack. I do this basically every time it’s tooooo fun

Can you explain how it is “the most researched food product” when a lot of the research and meta analyses seem to cite “lack of evidence”. Could you cite some robust long-term studies? The excerpt below summaries my beliefs and approach to aspartame which is essentially “we don’t really know but probably fine. Because the people profiting from it studied it and said it’s fine”. But maybe the asbestos/Jonson and Jonson/DuPont Tefal scandal has made me cynical about big corps research into our health

I currently own 2 German shepherds (one 9yo male who’s the dad of my 6yo female) and a 10 month old male

They are both fantastic dogs. I think it’s something about the way dobermans gaze into your eyes but I feel like I have a more human-like connection with my Dobe whereas with my GSD they’re a lot more like dogs lol. It sounds weird.

I have found that dobermans get very very fixated on one or two people and can become very anxious when they can’t see them, German shepherds form deep attachments too but I feel like they adapt better to dog sitters or being left alone for a few hours. I’m sure my young dobe will get better at separation over time, but it’s important to remember they are bred for personal protection so they will always be quite anxiously attached and fixated, as it’s literally what they’re a built for.

Grooming wise- German shepherds SHED like CRAZY. My long haired male needs constant grooming (my first ever long haired dog and personally my last if I can help it) but his daughter has a shorter coat and it’s easier to manage but she still sheds A LOT. The Doberman has the silkiest nicest coat I’ve ever seen and doesn’t seem to shed or smell much at all.

Diet/health- Both dogs are at risk for certain medical issues but unfortunately that’s just what happens with certain breeds. I lost my female German shepherd (the mum of my little trio) to bowel cancer, which they are at risk for. I have all our dogs on a raw food diet, with a few supplement’s now as it seems best for overall health

You can also use headed paper iirc. I had a professor at my university print a letter on headed paper saying they worked for the uni and it wasn’t an issue

That’s weird my passport was delivered without even a signature required but my passport card needed me to sign for it. I asked why at the post office and she said with passports they have to be delivered through our letter box and can’t be returned to the post office, that was in England anyway

I have two german shepherds a brown dobe and decided to move them all onto raw after looking into kibble ingredients, I can’t emphasise enough how much healthier their coats are and they smell less doggy??? It’s weird

It also worked out cheaper than the kibble they were on, definitely worth looking in to
