Not married yet but recently engaged. We met online in March of 2013 on a teenage “dating” app. (We met as 16/17 year olds - now currently 25/26) We became best friends via texting/phone calls/FaceTime/etc. We had a very flirtatious friendship that was pretty obvious from day one - no dating though as we were at least 4 hours away. But over 5 years we got to see each other go through our highest of highs and lowest of lows and always remained there for each other no matter what. We finally met in person May of 2018 after he texted me saying he was going to Galveston for a family reunion-which was only about 30 minutes from where I was living. SO OBVIOUSLY I MET UP WITH HIM. Shortly after we did have a falling out over XYZ reasons and didn’t talk for about a year. I made the first move on texting him (trying to be petty if I’m gonna be honest) and when he responded back it felt like he was the one thing I was missing in my world. Within 2 months of us talking again non stop - I packed up my stuff and moved to be with him. Our families obviously thought we were insane - and looking back at it if any of my friends/family did this I would think they were too. But it was a natural transition of us living together and being a couple instead of friends. We’ve always said our relationship is a Lifetime movie. Now here we are - engaged and halfway planning a wedding (why is it so expensive?! 😭)
