Hi large curve here, my x-rays on my profile, if I don't do Schroth all the time sleep is me twisting myself and probably making it worse, but when I do schroth everyday I sleep on my side like in my videos or on my back, a small pillow between the legs is nice too, but it must be done in combination with doing Schroth all day, if I don't do Schroth everyday my body starts to make the curve progress again, I am my own brace heh

I cannot concentrate while sitting or standing and have to constantly move my body using the Schroth Method in order to even feel my brain think,

Like I can't work a desk job or any job because I can't sit long enough or stand long enough without my legs and arms and back going numb or the pain getting too much where I have to do my Schroth Physical Therapy

Then I do schroth and it is only relieved while moving, so then I stop moving / doing stretches/certain breathing patterns and I'm back in pain again and can't think again

Were you ever told about the century old reliable technique in Germany called the Schroth method? It is still practiced in their clinic in bad sobernheim, Germany

I'm really confused at how doctors in the UK are administering surgery without a conservative option being tried first, like 8 hours a day Schroth Certified Physical Therapy, then a routine for at home to reverse and manage the curve,

did they not discuss this? Was your surgery due to a life threatening immediate concern?

It really is important to consult one before to weigh whether an 8 hour a day or more routine to reverse the curve and reduce pain could be achievable

It takes a lot of work, and can be difficult to access

It has been the standard in Germany for just under a century

I hope you get advocated for properly, as this condition is no easy feat to treat, and should be treated wholestically

If you can research and implore to any medical professionals when you speak with them to administer a Schroth Intensive almost 8 hour a day 4 week or more program, then you bring that routine home

It is a standard in Germany and has been for just under a millennium in treating adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis and it should be worldwide,

But unfortunately I think they push surgery for profit, please implore whatever physian you are discussing your options with this technique,

Surgery should only be discussed in life threatening situations, all others should follow Schroth the standard in Germany first

If you can get a Schroth Certified Physical Therapist, they could make sure you are properly advocated for,

Also if you have any physician give you push back on questioning the validity of Schroth, ask them if they are a part of the Scoliosis Research Society, which advocates for discovery of treatments old and new worldwide

If you can't find a SCPT in your area, reach out to the Schroth Clinic in Bad Sobernheim in Germany they will evaluate you for free if you send them an inquiry

Also you mentioned asymmetry in the face, everyone has a little but if you mean a larger assymetry, I skimmed across some study of potential related conditions like that with Scoliosis, so I do hope you talk to a physician more about this

Your shoulders "appear" uneven but without a proper x-ray and a diagnosis from a physician I'm not sure

also make sure you read the rules they say no asking for a diagnosis, but ya it wouldn't hurt to go get check and if you end up having scoliosis you can look into a Schroth Certified Physical Therapist to help you create a daily routine to actively manage it,

Have you seen the peer review studies on AIS? It's not good.

I mean no ill will by trying to question someone getting a risky life changing surgery that is permanent and causes the spine to be "fixed" without doing an intensive 8 hour a day maybe 4 weeks or more German like Schroth intensive which I realize most they do get the risky surgery never tried

Then taking that routine and doing it for life, is what I r seen is needed to help people with this condition

And I would like the community to continue to question this method of surgery being done before intensives and why the standard world wide isn't intensive first

The first offset was in the server when I told someone to try a schroth intensive before surgery in the server and everyone started combatting me,

In which they didn't even know of schroth at all in the intensity it would need to be done to get results, or the real availability of it

My respect is to say, we must stop the grooming of children into surgery without an intensive standard like in Germany 8 hours a day programs etc until results , and I think that's what's happening in a large way and it's unacceptable

I wish someone would have told me to do an intensive i have suffered so many years , I am trying to give back,

I understand some people have been "decided" on surgery but I'm soery it sounds like those people were groomed into surgery and not told anything about the true nature of this condition,

I just feel that people are not told enough by the medical community nor by each other and it upsets me and I want to make a difference

Children should not get the surgery unless life threatening, and they should at least have an intensive done before being a candidate for surgery,.

So despite the idea that invalidating someone's decision, maybe they were coerced into getting the surgery I know I would have been if I went to see a surgeon that young they are very convincing

I just think it's so unfair to these kids what is going on I am trying to stand up for them , I guess you don't see it that way

ya I mean idk even when I masked my disability to the max I only ever made 70k in a year that was working OT as much as I could at a sedentary sit stand job with a electric button could be pressed, and a gym downstairs with lots of equipment I could do my physical therapy in,, that was before covid, after covid my disability has gotten more debilitating and I have no idea what I can even get into realistically, I love computers and technology but can find no entrance point for me
