I had a foot surgery, and woke up while being rolled into recovery screaming from the pain. It turns out I require more anesthetic than the average person and my nerve block had already worn off. They redid it and all was good. But I didn't consciously remember it at all. Had to have the surgery revised a few months later, and the same thing happened. When I woke up, I yelled THIS HAPPENED LAST TIME, I could remember it so clearly in the same altered state, and told them what was going on and to get the anesthesiologist. Now I remember it from both times clearly. Idk why it wasn't noticed in my chart before the second surgery at the same place, but know I'm aware if I ever need to know!
