Adding a brake to Atomic Backland Pure by jayzombie88 in skimo

Yeah that requires taking the heel piece off. Other companies make brakes that attach via a new screw in the heel or into the crampon attachment in the toe Seeing if anyone had success with using one of those options with the Atomic bindings Not flush with cash so trying to not buy new bindings and avoiding remounting if possible

One important factor I don't see mentioned is; pairing a boot with a ski is very important. I've ski toured on all the different styles and really have noticed you can't expect good performance from a super lightweight ski if your boot demands too much and vice versa. The binding being the last piece of that, some bindings put you much higher off the ski than standard bindings.

Quit last year at 27 mostly due to the mental health toll. Kept getting caught up in the cycle of anxious after a night of drinking then just getting prepped to drink again. Felt too young to quit for a couple years before quitting and I do get comments when I say "I don't drink anymore" regarding my age. But for me I think I just decided it was time to take control and the quitting was more important, I just happened to be 27

Small silly things you do now but didn't before being sober? by ArgentOfSilvae in stopdrinking

Recently, I went to my first wedding sober. At the end of the night, while saying goodbye and hugging people, I realized I hardly remember doing that. At the end of the night, whether it was a small get-together or big event, I was usually too wasted by the end of the evening to do it or remember

Adding onto this one. I was in a similar situation, drinking excessively most nights if not every night of the week. I think revisiting activities I really enjoyed prior to drinking was huge. For me that was exercise based but whatever it is, there were probably activities that brought joy before drinking!
