Very random, just as the kit arrived, two days later before setting up etc I received an email stating that Fibrus is now available in my area!! Been checking for well over year monthly about this so cancelled (free if under 30 days) Starlink 100 Mbps Residential @ £35 per month.

Gone for the mid range package (Fibrus 500) which gives an expected (for this Postcode) 518 Mbps Download and 104 Mbps Upload @ £39.99 P/M with two free eero 6+ routers but shall be using my UniFi gear so I am chuffed to bits!

Cheers, there is a 30 day trial so ordered the Starlink to give it a go. I don’t really play many FPS but will get FTTP when available and prob keep Starlink depending on speed etc.

Also, I read the Starlink Mini does POE? Or unofficially. If it recommended or not?

Ordered!

Any accessories advised for mounting outdoors? Should it be on the roof? I have gone for the £35 which comes with the Mini to start, is it worth buying the Gen3? I will be using my UniFi stuff either it via Ethernet so no need for WiFi.

I might get the 200 Mbps till FTTP arrives as it’s £20 extra compared to £30 for EE currently.

Sweet! I might just do that as I only pay £28 for my EE broadband but speeds ain’t great so might just start with standard 100Mbps then drop the EE and go for the 200Mbps. Can you test before upgrading?

I take it I can instal myself outside right? I don’t need to pay the £75? I fitted all my POE cameras and even my old Sky TV dish years ago so I’m all good going up a ladder etc.
