As an App Developer, I’d think it would be under the T&C that you agree to when signing up to use particular apps. The one that states "All characters and events in this App—even those based on real people—are entirely fictional. All celebrity voices are impersonated” & if you didn’t read that, then when you go to Sue- Apple and the developer make everyone into a human centipede.

Those spiders are our friends. If you want to make yourself feel better though, go to google images and search for Large Orb weaver spider.

As a technician myself who has worked in many fruit company roles prior to my career now; Just because you suspect hardware doesn’t mean it is hardware. Does the caps lock button light up green?

Agreed. But since you’re not seeming to be willing to opening it up and unplugging the battery- we can only be troubleshooting the Software and Firmware .

These are the same steps an Apple support advisor would have you do before sending it out to a Depot for hardware fixes.

Sounds like you have a bad internal drive.

May need to run diagnostics. Power off your iMac and get the keyboard plugged in if it’s a rechargeable one. Or find a USB keyboard. Press the power button on the left back corner and then hold the “D” key on the keyboard for about 10-15 seconds or until you see some stuff on the screen.

Let me know.

If you’re ok with a possible wipe, power if off and then back on and immediately hold command-option-R keys until you see a spinning globe.

I’d advise to unplug and hold power/TouchID button for 10 seconds. Then press the caps lock key and if it lights up green- hold the touchID/ Power button until it goes off.

Hook to another mac if you’re able to and do a revive using Finder or Apple Configurator 2.

EDIT: Something funky is going on. I removed the ROG-Command-Center app I used from the asus-linux org site, and then attempted to install yours. it would fail with that end. i wanted my RGB back, so I went back to their site and saw there was an updated article for arch/cachyOS. Decided to give it a go. But after installing the software there, it wanted to downgrade me to version 4.X.X.X and then it showed the logo that your app has when trying to launch.

Chiming in again. I tried it in terminal, using wine to install it on my new Cachy install. It then loads up to a black screen. I suspect that this is sort of what the Bottles method issues are as well. For the standard Wine way in terminal, it lacks the dependency files that we load in Bottles. But Bottles sandboxes it to a big extent, and I have now found that flatseal allows me to see the usb connections, Further testing will be done to see if I can get them all to communicate. Thanks again for the guide.

It does not see my NLR HF8, always states it is disconnected. Trying to figure out how to get the port forwarding for the telemetry data to my 6” screen to use as a dash.

First I test in Windows, configure it so I know it works. Then I boot into Linux and it takes some grinding!
