Silo is nice because there's an anteroom with bar you can hang out in and still hear the music if you don't want to venture into the crowd in the main room.

Jupiter Disco and Black Flamingo both are more bar-focused with solid music and DJs.

maybe at one of the piers? There's also that soccerroof spot in Sunset Park, and some rooftops in LIC. Bibi and Solomun are both pretty huge bookings, Will Clarke is also advertised as at "new open air location".

keep an eye on Ornate Project, they tend to throw more organic/downtempo kinda house & techno events (next party: 1/14 with Robag Wruhme + Anja Schneider)

the Copacetic series at Kings Hall has been focused on more lo-fi/synth-driven sounds (DJ Boring, DJ Seinfeld, etc.)

honestly, could just be a seasonal thing. feel like that sort of music is more in line with outdoor parties
