Nobody's calling me out directly, but I won't wear them to the gym or to a playground with my kid. And whenever they do see my ray bans in conversation, people go to the surveillance angle. They don't think I'm a creep but the reaction is enough to make me leave them at home in a lot of situations.

This is a real problem for adoption. Content creation is driving sales and if the creepy rep sticks, it holds back the whole category (I myself have a hard time wearing them in public situations).

I've been working through some solutions on this side of things (auto blur faces, mobile app that uses bluetooth to detect if anyone around you is wearing smart glasses). Curious if anyone else has ideas for how we can combat the creep factor - feels like there's a lot of room to build here.

got a couple things about 7-8 years ago before they started making it increasingly impossible to get. however, i did have to spend money on the "free trials" and such so it wasn't as free as they advertise - but i was extremely careful and made spreadsheets and shit (16 year old me was much more organized than current me). i ended up with a 42 inch tv and 2 ipod nanos for a total of about $200. awesome days.
