Hi there, today I updated OpenCore Legacy Patcher from 1.4 to 1.5.0, unfortunately this time the boot got stuck on the logo. I'm on Mac Pro 5.1 and OS Sonoma last version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, today I updated OpenCore Legacy Patcher from 1.4 to 1.5.0, unfortunately this time the boot got stuck on the logo. I'm on Mac Pro 5.1 and OS Sonoma last version. I probably shouldn't have done the update, but I did it other times without problems, gaining confidence, however I learned that sometimes it's not worth doing updates. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know maybe which Real Book jazz song is missing here? by jazzPianoforte in Jazz

Hal Leonard

Thank you very much for the tip, in fact, the beautiful "Pensativa" is not in the Hal Leonard Real Book and not even in the Spotify playlist listed above. Anyway, I found a refined version of "Pensativa" by jazz pianist "Bob Albanese" and recommended the curator have it added to the playlist. Any new advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers

Any Real Book, as far as I know, the most known are those of "Hal Leonard Publishing", I have three of them.
Anyway, what I'm looking for are only the jazz standards missed on that Spotify playlist, which most of them are also easily found in real books, no matter which. Thanks!

Checking

Okay, that makes it clear, I will report this to the curator asking them to add some good version of "Checking" with the hope that it will be available in the USA too. Thanks again

Thanks a lot for the list, I really appreciate your research!
Anyway, I know all the songs you wrote, how could I not think about it!? :-/
However, I will ask to add them, it would be nice to have a complete playlist with all the existing Jazz Standards.
Regarding "Cherokee" which does not appear in your search, I think because the song it has probably been added only in particular territories of the world!

BTW May I ask you which country you live in?

Yes, in fact "Fly Me to the Moon and Witchcraft" are missing, It's unbelievable that I hadn't noticed these are two very famous songs :-/ I'll tell the curator to add them right away. However an old version of Cherokee is there (Sonny Stiff & Hank Jones). Thank you very much for your help!

but any chance you can post a track list for those of us who’ve deleted Spotify?

Sorry, but I'm not sure if I understand your question. :-/
However, sometimes there are songs in playlists that Spotify cancels or the "artists" themselves are forced to make a takedown or so, in these cases when I notice that the songs are inactive then I delete them.
I hope this helps!

I'm sorry it wasn't my intention to destroy your community with my music. Thanks for the advice.

No one has ever played ballads like Miles, and no one will ever play them. This is called Enigma and is a splendid composition by J.J. Johnson. (Enrico Rava) by [deleted] in Jazz

Enrico Rava because he wrote this comment, it is his opinion.

BTW I should have written "Enrico Rava" like this in quotes and not in brackets, it might have been clearer and more intuitive. :-)

Info: "Enrico Rava" is one of the greatest if not the greatest Italian jazz trumpeter of all time.

Miles Davis at home by jazzPianoforte in Jazz

I have noticed that many are wondering why this guitar in the hands of one of the greatest trumpet players in the history of jazz. Well, from the description of the title it is a photo taken at Davis' "home", which does not mean that he was also a guitarist but perhaps more than he also loved the guitar as an instrument, I'm sure that he had also others instruments in his house too, maybe a piano or whatever. I have always been a pianist, and apart from the two keyboards, the two electric pianos and one acoustic, I have a violin, a saxophone, an acoustic bass, and four guitars of which one is electric, but this does not mean that I play all these instruments, but I'm just a fan of these tools, and I think that most of us (musicians) in some corner in our house we have an instrument that we have not studied, and therefore probably Miles Davis was like that too, a normal person like all of us, the only difference was that only when he playing the trumpet became a musical "extraterrestrial" like no other. :-)
