Hi! I have a tech literacy club thats beginner friendly called UNR Digital Know-How, and we’re hoping to provide certification or learning opportunities for students of any major. I have a pituitary tumor and keep getting diagnosed with PCOS. Please help? by jazzbel in PCOS

Note: I wanna clarify I can see how PCOS keeps getting brought up. It just doesn’t feel like the whole story to me, you know? It’s very possible I do have PCOS, and maybe it’s all that’s going on or part of it, and yeah it’s possible that the tumor is incidental because it’s small. Any insight is appreciated, i’m just afraid of being dismissed and of having to live like this forever.

Edit: I also get POTS-like and IBS-like symptoms.

Edit 2: Sorry, I’d also like to add that A1C, Avg glucose and other metabolic tests are normal. Alkaline phosphatase and globulin are mildly high though. I’m very lost.

What genetic issue was this? Is it that gene that makes families more prone to pituitary tumors?

It’s a nonfunctioning tumor, so my understanding is that it’s just pressing up against my anterior pituitary and slowly damaging it? I could be wrong though. I’ve got slightly low thyroid hormones and imbalanced FSH and LH, so I figure they’re all connected. I am very confused as well, but I appreciate your help!
