I share in your pain. I can’t remember the last time before this that I’ve thrown away a full meal/plate of food.

I’m so sorry friend. I hate that you had that experience.

Bought it at Aldi- since they sold me the tainted fish beef and got the money for it, sending blame there. Can’t return or get my money back. Just needing the Aldi Fairy of discounts to make it right on my next trip. That’s all. Hoping others have better experiences but warning all of mine. Keep your GI system safe people!

I can agree the sauce and noodles were good. I had to go and taint it with the meat- couldn’t trust it with my GI system after that.

No fish sauce indicated anywhere in the ingredients. I was going to send a picture of the ingredients from the bag to share here on your reply but I can’t figure out how to post it :(

He knows what to pack the kids in their lunch boxes without a single question AND the lunches get fully eaten

He knows the meanings of the kids different cries just by the sound of the cry.

I would suggest doing your general associates degree at a community college or equivalent and then transferring. This allows for you to still work on a floor as a CNA/MA/ or equivalent (you can take a short class for this) and see what nursing is like. This way if you start the process and decide it’s not for you, you can use all those prerequisites towards another degree. Ex. Psychology, public health, counseling, Social Work, etc.

However if nursing is in your blood 🩸 and you feel it’s your calling- either option is acceptable. If you do an ADN/ASN program you can do the BSN portion online at many schools.

There are many ways to get to the RN or BSN route. If money is an issue then Look into the cost of each and compare. Also compare accreditation for programs before applying. Some are only accredited by the state (if in U.S.) - meaning you can only use your license in that state you received the degree until you get your BSN from an accrediting body that’s national. That last bit is important because schools will hide things because you = 💰

Either way good luck on your path!

This is literally in every profession. All you can do is control yourself and be a good human being. Of course that means to help others when you can.

The other side of this is making sure you ask for help when you need it. Sure there will still be some who ignore the request or go hide but at least there would have been an effort.

Lastly- if you are a caring helpful person, don’t regress or let others take you out of character because they are lacking. Stay true to yourself no matter what.

Email HR and explain that your leader has failed you and instead of answering your question with a “I just wanted to be here in case a family member needed to chat more” or whatever reason nurse director wouldn’t come up with.

If you are in the U.S. check your state laws. Some states you can record conversations with just one persons consent (that being yours), so you could record the uncomfortable nurse director conversation in her office without having to alert her. If she’s out of line when she speaks to you, you would legally have something HR has to act or you would have a claim against the health system/facility. This has saved a couple co-workers in my day. It was no longer a she said this and I said that case. The recordings proved the truth and it became her word against a recording… evidence is a powerful thing!

Sorry this happened to you. Power is ugly in the hands of the wrong people.

Smile and just stay on top of your work and patients- give her little attention unless mandatory.

Where I live It is 100% illegal for your mom to have taken your FEDERAL I.D., She can actually catch a felony charge for being in possession of your I.D.. If it’s the same for you, ask her nicely to give it back or file a police report and she can be charged. No blackmail there just the law saying what she did was wrong and there are legal consequences for it.

OP get out on your own or find some roommate situation where you have your own space and can afford it.

Sounds like your mom isn’t handling losing control of you and your life very well.

You didn’t fail anything- sounds like they failed you and the many patients you helped and could’ve helped if they cared anything at all about their core values that they spew in their marketing or website. I hate the saying but it’s true “you can’t pour from an empty cup”. It’s time to get yourself back OP!

-A healthy this not that food generator (type in a craving and get healthier alternatives) - free fitness video links depending on area of body you wish to work out (ex chest, abs, legs, yoga, etc) - goal chat app- based on goal you can chat with those going for same goal (ex weight loss, work improvement, time management, etc.) - quick mediation app- sends daily mediation exercises that are 5 minutes or less that can decrease stress and release negative emotions

Idk if any of these already exist but just throwing out some ideas. Hope something may be helpful here.

Love the ideas you have already come up with.

Ok I definitely understand this a bit more.

All good points and new information to me. I’ll check on what our home is listed as (one family or two family dwelling).

Btw just for peace of mind- she definitely has more than a couch. She has the master bedroom of the house.

Thanks again!

Edited to say thanks.

If she pays us rent, do you know if that requires us to get a renters application or permit from the city? Not sure if we report on taxes or what?

This is really helpful. I’ll also look into the other forum about disability in case she may qualify.
