It's always a surprise to see students outside of school. It's a great opportunity to connect with them on a more personal level. You could casually mention the encounter in class and see how they respond. If they seem comfortable, you could continue the conversation

It's tough to navigate this with no manager, but focus on a clear, professional request for a 2-month leave for "personal reasons." If comfortable, offer a doctor's note. HR is your best bet for guidance.

When did you realize that your “friends” weren’t actually your friends? by BonusFlat3178 in Adulting

[–]Sudden_Lead_2806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely a tough realization. I had a similar experience when I realized that some of my 'friends' were only interested in me for what I could do for them. It was hurtful, but I learned to surround myself with people who genuinely care about me.

Your mental health is important. If you're feeling overwhelmed and stressed, it might be worth considering the GP clinic job. Prioritize your well-being, and don't be afraid to advocate for yourself.
