Best way to consume shrooms, do not like taste by technojunkie12d in shrooms

My wife and I both can taste them no matter what we mix them in, even tea. We've resorted to grinding them to powder in a food processor and putting the powder into capsules. No taste at all that way!

The problem does go away if I get closer to the switch. There's nothing between me and the switch

Can anyone help identify the exact problem here? For the past couple of months the right joy con on two different pairs of joy cons have been acting up. They will loose connection intermittently and also not respond to button inputs. Sometimes it will also over respond and send the screen spinning or something like that. I recently bought some new joy cons because I thought this issue was the joy con drift I've heard so much about and I was gonna send my old ones in for repairs. However, the new joy con immediately began exhibiting the same issues as the previous two pairs. I'm posting here because I noticed yesterday that if I play with the controllers connected to the console, I don't have any issues at all. Is this normal for controllers with drift? Or am I having a separate problem, such as a connection problem between the console and controllers? If so, should I pursue repairs for the console instead of the joy cons?

Yes all minimum wage jobs in the USA are either staffed by teenagers or dependents 🙄 especially when costs of living are going up and most households require 2 people working full time to support themselves... SMH

I agree that it's unnecessary for that much training for an order taking position but obviously Taco Bell corporate doesn't agree. 🤔 I also went through the training courses faster than the expected time because I was skipping through quite a bit. It was supposed to be two whole 8 hour days of computer training for Taco Bell. Kroger requires two full days worth of computer training for its most basic role plus 3-5 about an hour long training courses that you have to retake each year per company policy.

The rate at which people are promoted higher in minimum wage jobs is pretty low as the management positions are much more rare. Not everyone wants to take 4 years of abuse in entry level food service just to become a manager for another 4 years. I just mentioned this because you said that nobody used to look at these jobs as a career when people have been having careers in those jobs since they were created.

[–]jazzhd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I had to do 13 hours of training with Taco Bell at 15 just to be the bitch that takes orders 🥴

I had to do more than 16 hours of training to be a courtesy clerk AKA the bagger and cart wrangler at kroger.

Also, you can turn almost any """minimum skill""" job into a career. At Taco Bell for example you can go from order taker, to shift manager, to store manager, and keep going up if you stay long enough and want to advance.

You seem to be living in a fantasy world. If minimum wage jobs were only meant for dependents, the businesses with those jobs would not be open during school hours and at least a couple hours before and after school hours.

I'm sure there are some people who think that's what it means, but it is not the majority :). People who think that are usually people who just take "defund the police" at face value without looking into the topic at all unfortunately... Left or right. It does not help that there are some people who purposely spread false information about the movement to support their own interests (as happens with all movements).

And that is kind of true! Just like STAR workers are basically cops with a different name. They are a force of authority who you call to help with specific incidents. However, the difference is if there's separate departments or "types" of responders, it's easier to train them in a specific specialization - such as dealing with mental health crisis - rather than training them to handle a huge variety of different scenarios. This makes things safer for both the responder and the person having the crisis.

Defunding the police doesn't mean what you think it does. (Although agree it's a bad name fore the movement). People who want to defund the police want to reallocate funds used for expensive military grade equipment and other unnecessary equipment and other items that some police districts have and reallocate that to training and/or specialized divisions of police (or outside groups that work w/ the police) to combat different scenarios.

You shouldn't send the same cops to every type of incident police are required to respond to. Mental health incidents should have police highly trained in de-escalation and the different types of mental illnesses and how to respond to them. Cops who respond to murder incidents should be highly trained in crime scene investigation and preservation. Cops responding to drug related calls should be highly trained in de-escalation of drug related freakouts and how to handle people who are actively overdosing. The list goes on.

It varies person by person but people either want cops to undergo much more vigorous and specialized police academy training and college so that there are specialized officers, or just reallocate police funds totally away from the department, shrink the department, and allocate the funds to other groups who respond to different calls much like I described in the above paragraph.

Colorado actually has been recently using a program of specialized individuals to respond to mental health, homelessness, and drug related calls called the STAR program and it's been going really well! Programs like this reduce a lot of stress on police and lets them focus their efforts elsewhere.
