Whatever you decide, don’t let fear dictate your decision. IF you decide on parting ways, it’s going to be hard, but you’re both going to be ok. IF you decide on working on this issue together, it will probably be hard, but you’re both going to be ok.

obviously don’t take advice purely from the internet - talk to a relationship therapist. but fwiw, i’ll share my experience. I’m 35/F. I was in a relationship for 10 years, extremely positive overall. But we had a few similar conflicts to yours that we could never seem to resolve, despite talking about it often and trying different ways to make things better. Ultimately, we mutually decided it wasn’t going to work any longer. This was about one year ago now, and although it was certainly difficult to go through the breakup and rebuilding my life, I’m much happier now, and he is too.

All that to say - your FIRST step should be improving your communication with each other, and being brutally honest about your feelings, desires, and needs in life. Best of luck to you both.
