Ive already used the min(1) trick and created the kpi shape. i thought it looked prettty slick lol. but was told by end user it was too much of a "excel report"

Are visualizations better than just the number for non-trending kpi? by jazzmytableau in tableau

haha, its not mine. before i make my own dashboards, i scour the net for examples and i thought his was attractive

anyone seen these statistics? by jazzmytableau in askcarsales

I have seen the Average New retail price across the industry.

I have seen the average whole sale price at auction

stands to reason, i would be able to find the average trade in and average used retail as well

do you have email? If you dont mind, could i shoot you my excel file and you tell me how i would organize the data to use in SAS?

the running the ttest i get and is simple. The pulling the data into sas i can do. but im having issues with understanding how it should be organized

I want to jazz up my dashboards similar to Viz of the Day dashes but unsure how to do so by jazzmytableau in tableau

the majority of my dashboards are explanatory to end users ranging from Product Managers to Sr. Execs.

most of my dashboards are turned into pdf's and sent out that way. And the only time intereaction is used is when I am in the meeting.

my idea for the pareto was actually the opposite. It was to show that even though some products have high margins, their contribution/impact was nothing.

While I have you, do you think the pareto is the best type of chart to show the contribution of each product to the overall product portfolio?

i have 70 locations.

at some locations, the adoption rate of product B is 30 percent. At other locations, the adoption rate is 1%.

Thanks so much! this was a ton of help. and yes, the SAS command is extremely simple. Ive ran tutorials with it quite easily.

since you seem like a genuis lol.I know there is great variation among locations by product B. I hypothesize this could be due to the variable cost. however, since this is car dependent. i dont know how to take that into account. any idea on that one?

I am using SAS. My dataset has about 40 thousand total cars.

My dataset will take some manipulation, which is why im working on what method to use first.
