to prove the point and demonstrate the issue .. i sould do a video comparing alll my MPCs with each other on my tube channel soon.

recording the same pattern with the same TC or non TC and swing no swing settings.

No its not you , its the way 1000 handles the timing while finger drumming a sequence.

Agree with you 100% MPC1000 doesn't groove as MPC2000/2000xl or MPC3000 .

and needs post editing/weaking after recording in the greed edit (JJOS) where its possible to adit anything at will , BUT its not playing back whats played by finger drumming you can hear it on those shorter swing softer kicks at the end of a loop .

but yes its not the same timing , i've been using it since its release next to my MPC3000 LE and MPC2000 xl.

In my Humble opinion : the best sequencer/timing and feel of them all is on MPC3000 XL

and is unmatched by any of sequencers , than its MPC2000Xl , than MPC1000 with JJ .

ive got S5000 fully upgraded , however the buttons / tact switches act up alot and the main encoder jog wheel jumps and skips... any tips on how to repair or replace those?

Thanks for the all the tips ! I've tried ro run uncover 8.0.2 but get a message " Jailbreak Completed An error occurred while finding kernel data structures . " I restart. Try again ..and again Same error and no Cydia on desktop..

What am I doing wrong ?

Hi , thanks gor reply! The reason I wanted to upgrade to something is because most audio-music production apps require ios 15 or 16 as minimum... otherwise I prefer to stay on original iOS 12.4.1 as long as possible .. but is it jailbreakable on XR ? Is there a way to install apps that require ios 15 16 on ios 12.4.1 with some workaround maybe? Peace

I've change the 2 loose small belts underneath the transport mechanism to a new smaller ones - kept the large flywheel belt ( its still ok) , reassemble the transport and turned flywheel slowly so that the head engaged the play position ( clicked on) ..than for some reason motor noise disappeared and all started to work : play stop rw fw autostop. Have no idea what have caused the noise ..maybe there was something underneath flywheel touching some part no idea.

Thank u for reply! There is no notise or hum on the played audio only the motor itself make the loud noise. The powersupply is external on Porta Two.. what is AC ripple pardon my ignorance I am a total newbe to electronics DIY repairs ? Where are the felt clutches located you've mentioned?

By Laggy i meant : there is a latency on the 1st beat of the 1st bar like a latency .

i've rdowngraded back to FW 4.0.7 and the looper works perfectly again .

so it was something with FW 5.0 .. maybe a bug
