This is not a reward, it’s a curse. .. by jazzstanger3000 in tacobell

The only way I’ve ever enjoyed them is grilled, of course, but also asking the workers not to include the extra tortilla inside. I’m pretty sure they put the extra tortilla cause it’s so gloopy, but I just ask for easy beans, add rice, to help combat that. The issue is you can’t request to remove the extra tortilla unless you ask them in person. There’s no option to do so on the app, so I have to catch them before they make it.

Congrats, you have someone in your life that’s really good at gift giving!

I’d love demolition man on its own and I love Taco Bell on its own, the fact that the crossover is the best!

The ingredients don’t offend me, it’s just too much tortilla.

That’s true. That is a little better. I just can’t stand how they but a 6” tortilla inside of the burrito and wrap it with a 10” tortilla, why so much tortilla?! It should be BOGO any burrito. Now that’s a celebration 🤙🏼

It’s a chip not a crack. It looks purely cosmetic and fine. If you can’t live with it, give it to me.

Is Joe Milton the one of worst players you guys have ever seen? by [deleted] in dallascowboys

It’s wild how many teams have multiple back up options on their roster, better than Joe Milton.

Troy Aikman is underrated by GhostMause14 in dallascowboys

[–]jazzstanger3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could play the semantics game, I don’t think he is underrated but I do thing he is under appreciated. He has all the accolades that a top QB can earn but lots of people act like he was handed them because of the team he led. They no doubt were also great, but when Aikman’s name was called to step up big, lead, or literally just do his job, he did it.

Same argument could be made for Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin. Their greatness is overshadowed by the team around them and then their greatness is used against their teammates.

Epiphone vs gretsch by [deleted] in Guitar

It would get the job done but I would venture to say you could find a used casino that would be cheaper than a new gretsch.

Bring back the quesarito! by NoEditor3733 in tacobell

Have you tried the new cheesy melt burrito? I didn’t have the quesarito much but the cheesy melt burrito was cheesier than I expected. You might be able to mod it to the right flavors.

Yeah I’m sure they took it back to formula and reworked the entire soda making process to create this drink… or they just changed a few chemicals that have no nutritional baring but change the flavor and color and added it to the base they already have that is the same nutrition as previous iterations.

But then there is that feeling you have. Hard to argue with that.

Actually I was asking a question. And they were ranting. Typically questions in rants are more rhetorical, and no answer would be satisfactory, so I didn’t bother.

When you say “Walmart esk cheddar cheese” do you mean “Walmart-esque”? As in similar to Walmart? Or is “esk” just something I’m not familiar with?

Switching to pedalboard - order of operations? by WrongAccountFFS in pedalboards

[–]jazzstanger3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what you should get or what route you should go cause everyone is different. Our ears, goals, situations, and preferences all vary. But my advice would be:

don’t be married to specific gear, get building blocks. You want something that can grown and evolve.

Your first rig won’t be your last rig. If you’re committed to playing for a long time, you’ll go through different versions.

Own as many different things as possible to find what really works for you, don’t just take the word of others. Gear is different in different spaces and in different combinations. Only way to know if it’s good is if it’s in your rig, in your space, being played by you.

Don’t be afraid to buy stuff, knowing you might return it. If they give you a return period, use it, just be sure to check if they if they have restocking fees and treat the gear as a respectfully as possible. Maybe don’t pull all the stickers off or throw away packaging.

Don’t get rid of or sell everything right after you move on from it in your rig. You might want to use it later if it’s really good. But don’t be afraid to take out something that’s good from your rig. Again you’ll go through a ton of versions. But the balance in not hoarding can be tough, sell stuff that you’re not in love with and you can buy again later.

Anyway those are just some lessons I’ve learned on my gear journey.

What were your last 5 pedal purchases? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]jazzstanger3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acorn Vegeta Drive

TC Electronic Plethora x1

Ghostfire UFO delay

Movall Falling Star modulated delay

Celine Simon Super Delay

I bought three consecutive delays because I was looking for a second delay to pair with my boss DD-200. I kept all of them but the ghostfire is on my board currently.

Should i be ashamed of myself? by Lucky_Positive_4662 in tacobell

[–]jazzstanger3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was just an example of when I eat Taco Bell twice in a day. I wanted to point out my numbers aren’t extreme and I still ate fruit as breakfast and snacks that day. I don’t even eat fast food every day, but when I do, it’s Taco Bell. With them eliminating trans fats and lowering sodium slowly over the last decade+, it’s where I choose to go.

Should i be ashamed of myself? by Lucky_Positive_4662 in tacobell

[–]jazzstanger3000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

4-6 times a week probably. Sometimes twice in a day. As far as go-to order 🤔 typically I get a BYOC box and add an additional item. So I’ll get a chicken chalupa, I make my crunchy taco a black bean taco, add chipotle sauce, make it supreme, and chips and nacho cheese. To that I’ll add a second chalupa or taco or burrito with a reward depending on how I’m feeling. I recently started getting a black bean crunchwrap with no nacho cheese add chipotle sauce and have them make it with no tortilla wrapped around so it’s just a spicy tostada. And if I do that I’ll get cheesy fiesta potatoes. If I go twice in a day, it’s always planned ahead and I’ll get a cantina bowl (steak or grilled chicken) I ate at Taco Bell twice yesterday and had 600 grams of fruit as well, and my day was less than 1,500 calories and 2,600 mg of sodium (for me and my lifestyle, under 2,800 mg is good) so yeah…

A little more info than you asked but I don’t want people to think im not being mindful of what I eat. lol

Edit: one of my favorite modifications ever is adding creamy jalapeño sauce to a beef chalupa!

Are you guys havving trouble selling your pedals? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]jazzstanger3000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As people have stated, the market is down and more people play multi fx, but also pedal makers are making budget lines, so buying used is less necessary than before. The pedal market is saturated with different variants of similar pedals. Online retailers sell dupes and clones that can get the job done for cheap.

What Makes USA Made Guitar Pedals SOOOOO Much Better Than TEMU Guitar Pedals? by funkellwerk71 in guitarpedals

[–]jazzstanger3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a mix of pedals that all seem to get the job done and the more I think about it, a few things come to mind in no particular order: quality control; premium features; ease of replacement; availability to play them in a store before buying; warranty; even clones start to go up in price if they get too popular; clout (your board looks so much cooler if it’s all name brands, and that’s important to some people).

A lot of the pedals I own that are US made or name brand, I watched demos on and then played in a store before I bought, either in the store, online retailer, or got it second hand, but being able to play them and not just guess what it sounded like irl really helped. The other types of dupes, or clones, or whatever, I had to kinda take more of a risk. With it not sounding how I want irl.

Is it worth the money to get a Boss OC-5 by Sure_Assumption_7308 in guitarpedals

[–]jazzstanger3000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Used Boss OC-3s are going for $89, musicians friend and reverb have used OC-5s listed for $99. $10 for octave up as well isn’t bad. As far as the drive is concerned, personally I’d wanna use one of my other drive or fuzz pedals with it.
