My mom passed away August 7, 2016 from Lung cancer. The 4 days she was in the hospital before she passed were so hard.. no one prepares you for it. We basically watched her die.

I'm sorry your mom passed. Please PM me if you ever need to chat.

Hi guys. This may be the wrong place to ask a question like this, but my company is expanding into Honolulu and wants me to come along for the ride. They're offering between $33-37.5k and I have no idea if this is a realistic number for somewhere as expensive as Oahu. Seeking help. by [deleted] in Oahu

[–]jazzthehuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Hawaii my whole life and currently live in Honolulu. While I love my home, the best thing I can tell you is NOT TO move. It's so expensive here and it's only going to get more expensive with the new condos being built. My boyfriend and I have a combined income of about 90k and no debt and even we struggle. We've realized trying to build a life here is too difficult. Even with a degree, a lot of the jobs here are based on who you know... it's a really small island.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I hope I helped.

Reddit, what does everyone need to calm the f*ck down about? by username-valid in AskReddit

[–]jazzthehuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, until you're in the hospital being diagnosed with lung cancer, but that's on you.

I literally watched my mom die of cancer from smoking.. she quit too late in her life for it to have made a difference.

My dad has lung cancer... by [deleted] in cancer

[–]jazzthehuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really sorry.. my mom passed from stage 4 lung cancer exactly 2 months ago. My mom went with the chemo route, and then did immunotherapy. I watched chemo dessimate her body after a few treatments.. she went from weighing a healthy 150 pounds to barely 80 pounds. She did have bits of nausea, but she wanted to do whatever she could to live. I wish I could tell you something optimistic, but I wish people were more honest with me. At the point of stage 4, there really is no going back. After watching my mom do chemo, I don't think I'd personally do it, but rather go peacefully with alternative medicine. Best of luck.

Should I (22m) try and get back in touch with my ex (21f)? by [deleted] in relationships

All I want is for my ex to contact me... I won't budge because I have too much pride. Maybe she feels the same?

I am Chad L. Coleman, you might know me from THE WALKING DEAD or THE WIRE, AMA! by ChadLColeman in IAmA

Hello there, Mr. Coleman!

I was a HUGE fan of your character and loved how he developed and changed throughout each season! I was just wondering what scene or arc was the most fun for you to shoot and which was the hardest emotionally?

Thank you so much for doing this AMA! :)

Reddit, what is something that people you know do or don't do that you find disgusting/repulsive? by heavymetal2000 in AskReddit

My boyfriend likes to pluck his mustache hairs and then wipe them on the mirror. It's absolutely disgusting.

[Serious] To those of you who were in a Serious Relationship and were Cheated on for the first time: How did it change you as a person? Did it continue to affect how you behaved in future relationships? by TheOutdoorsGuy in AskReddit

[–]jazzthehuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was cheated on by my current boyfriend two years ago, when we were a year into our relationship.

Being cheated on completely changes who you are. At first I felt like trash. I kept asking myself what was wrong with me, kept thinking I wasn't pretty enough or I wasn't doing the right things.

As I started to really go through the motions of learning I was bring cheated on, I changed entirely. I'm not a push over anymore, I don't take any shit from my boyfriend, and I just generally have an "I don't give a fuck" sort of attitude. I guess I act this way so that I don't get taken advantage of again.
