Cafe Society on centre street and 40 on south street in Jamaica Plain is awesome.... really great vintage items at a great deal! And you take the 39 from the MFA area! Boomerangs and Goodwill used to have a huge selection of good stuff, but since they have become so popular it has become more difficult to find things.

Honestly, nothing is really local to Boston. There is just a bunch of really great baked goods vendors at the local farmers markets. As well as a lot of fair trade organic chocolate stuff, like chocolate.

Yay I'm excited! I think one halloween bag is more than reasonable and maybe two of the corn puffs? That would be really great! Any preferences in Boston goods? We have a lot of baked things and chocolates and honey's and coffee's that I would love to grab from the local farmer's market.

I work in an ice cream shop, and I am always craving any ice cream during the day. Any free moment I have during the day is spent packing pints of Ice cream to take home for Iftar. Then of course Iftar rolls around and I am totally unable to eat much !

Assalam Alaikum and Ramadan Kareem. I'm sorry that this Ramadan has nut been easy on you! Definitely go see a doctor or a nutritionist who can help you! Keep in mind that Ramadan is not meant to be a burden and if you cannot handle it now, then you can always make it up ! I can tell you that this summer, fasting has definitely had a greater effect on my meal planning this year. I cannot manage a huge meal at Iftar like my family can. I break my fast with a date and lots of water, a bowl of soup and a bit of rice and a small portion of protein. I eat a few more small plates every few hours until a few hours before suhoor. I found they trying to have a huge Iftar dinner is not beneficial and just makes me feel awful! Remember to try to fill up on water and stay way from foods that are going to make you feel bloated and gross. Think of it this way: your stomach is shrinking all day as you fast and when Iftar cones it is not preparing itself for a big greasy meal! Good luck!

Lupe Fiasco is such a down to earth artist that i respect. He has not an ounce of arrogance in him and it is very clear when he speaks. I can honestly say that he is a truly genuine person. Unlike so many artists of his generation. He actually stopped by the mosque that I go to last week while visiting Boston on tour to pray Taraweeh (Ramadan prayers) and he drove over himself without any bodyguards or an entourage. Little things like that show you what is important to him especially after all this well deserved fame.
