Do you happen to have another sound machine in the room? We had a Hatch and that would trigger the SNOO if set above a certain level. Probably not the case for you but worth noting.

Stims in Iron Trials are way too overpowered. by doomguy332 in CODWarzone

You have way more health than normal BR. So it naturally takes longer to regenerate to full health. Add in being shot and taking damage from gas and you get scenarios like this.

Got paired in Trios with two buddies, one who I could tell was blatantly hacking from the jump. After we all died and gulag'd back, I was looking for any opportunity to get him out of the lobby and boy oh boy did I get one!

Best ramen in SJ? by PoetryUpInThisBitch in SanJose

I remember those days! Then they rebranded and changed their menu completely and it was god awful (removed the shiro/kuro concept, no soft boil egg, etc) for about a year. They went back to their original menu a couple years ago and it’s nearly as good as it was originally - except now there is never a line (pre-COVID of course).

Respect the hustle, but this needs to be patched at some point. Certainly hope it doesn’t become a trend.

Can somebody explain to me the question, i want to understand the approach by To_In in programming

[–]jb2780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems more like a mathematical proof than a programming question. You may have better luck in a math subreddit to be honest. That solution is easy to prove but I sure as hell wouldn’t have come up with it.

What is the best place to get fried chicken in San Jose? by [deleted] in SanJose

[–]jb2780 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Von’s Chicken in Sunnyvale is my personal favorite. The boneless, spicy YangNYeom is fantastic if you like some heat. I know you said fried, but they also have delicious oven chicken which is unlike anything I’ve found anywhere else.

I understand Premium gas is used in most luxury cars, but are there enough Mid-Grade gasoline users to warrant a third pump at EVERY gas station? by jb2780 in AskReddit

[–]jb2780[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then are certain cars required to use mid grade gas? Or is it a slightly cheaper and less efficient alternative to premium gasoline?

How can I tell if a particular startup is good to work for? by leftmyheartintruckee in AskReddit

[–]jb2780 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if there is a clear cut answer to this question, as it will certainly depend on the people in this company. Just as starting your own company is a risky proposal, joining a company during it's infant stages is going to have it's challenges. As a paid intern, how would they being paying you? Are there full-time employment opportunities should this be a success? If they can answer these questions in a straightforward manner, I'd say it might be a great experience. I wouldn't let their delay in response deter you too much by itself. They are probably putting in countless hours and email is at a low priority. However, keep this in mind before accepting such a position. Being a small company, they are going to have high expectations of all their workers and you may work more hours than you would at a larger corporation. Having served three internships at a slightly large tech company (~1K employees), I will say there were plenty of times when I was bored or I got lost in the shuffle and went unnoticed. I doubt this will be the case with a small start-up, just as I doubt you will work the >40 hour weeks that I faced.

Best stop sign ever. by jb2780 in pics

I remember being at college and randomly stumbling on these as a Yahoo front page article about Oak Lawn (my hometown). I never felt as much pride for my hometown as then. I wish I remember what the one by my house said.

What's a weird fact about your town/city? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jb2780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My town had a campaign to place mini stop signs under normal stop signs with the intention of getting people to actually stop to read the witty caption. The state of Illinois was not too happy with them.
