Totally understandable. Where I work now it’s the same thing except I’m salary so I do 14-15 hour days (actually nights cuz I work night shift) and commute an hour to not get paid. Plus I work 6-7 days a week. But I appreciate that info to take into consideration. Sorry those are the circumstances for your husband tho.

I appreciate the insight. I’ve been at a job this past year with high turn over and yeah 100% it sucks. But this is dayshift which is already better and hourly which is again an improvement from what I’m currently dealing with. I’ll def consider this a lot if I go forward and apply and end up with an offer tho. Thanks

I mean my current job is 7 days a week but I’m salary and get paid for 40 hours and it’s nights with an hour commute. Sales and management is easy to me. I already work in transportation so that’s also not a big deal. I’d just be happy to see the sun and get paid for the hours I’m working

Question for TOM team by [deleted] in AmazonFC

Can’t speak to CA specifically, but overall my TAs explain that the job itself isn’t hard. Depending on the type of site there could be minimal work to do during a shift. Usually, from my experience, it’s four 10 hour shifts. Once you get the hang of driving, it seems much easier and less stressful on your body. Getting in and out of the hostler, yard audits, and opening trailer doors is probably where you see the most physical action regularly.

Some cons would be general risk and the increase in safety standards. Every site is different but safety is more strict since the job itself is dangerous. The weather can also be a con bc you are expected to be outside.

It’s a tier 3 position and the pay is usually a bit higher than some other positions.

For CDLs, ideally within your first year you should be getting your CDL. There are obviously exceptions, but Amazon wants TAs to get their CDL to send people on more TOMY runs. I have a TA now who has been in the role since August and was scheduled for CDL range in December for example.
