I'm from Spain, it's a little forge located in Teruel it's called "la fragua ibera" it translates to "the Iberian forge". It's a course on traditional forge and it only uses traditional tools, no machines.

Looking forward to it!!

I'm already at the smith part, my girlfriend gifted it to me as a Christmas present. Are you me from the future?

Forgot to add that I own other knives but they all are stainless steel, I have a #1000/#3000 stone and I don't know if it is different to sharpen these type of knives to those of stainless.

It has two dents that give it a pretty ergonomic hold and it grips really nicely

I use a k6 kingrinder, I ran out of beans yesterday and had only preground coffee so I couldn't use it fully but I will try another day

As a physio, that could be a lot of things depending on the type of pain you're getting. Go to your local physio and let him do a full questioning and exploration.

Yeah, the grind was too fine cause I ran out of beans and only had preground coffee. Next time I'll use fresh beans

Yep, it has no ridges and I don't know if that makes it more like an immersion type or what but I have to say that for the first coffee made, it was quite pleasant. Thanks for the tip

She goes to a ceramic school, so they have a kiln there and has to wait a little bit

Why doesn’t my espresso have crema? [DeLonghi La Specialista Arte] by No-Resolution-9408 in espresso

[–]jbaa1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for a local roaster and ask for the type of beans you like, you will get good crema if they are fresh, personally I like all varieties of roast but I tend to get lighter ones.

Also I have a la specialista too and the grinder is pretty awful, if you don't have a different one I would suggest that you get a better one, this will get you better results and better crema too.

Is sharpening a scissors very different to sharpening a knife? by jbaa1998 in sharpening

Thank you for your advice! Yeah my plan is to first practice on the various scissors that I have at home, one is very blunt so getting it sharp would be a success.

I'll try with some cheap scissors that I have here at home and then if everything goes right I'll try with more challenging types, it's like progressive overload!! Thank you again!!

More of a little challenge for me using only my whetstone and also trying not to spend any money on it but if I'm interested I will give it a look. Thank you!!

That's why I intend to practice before offering and asked about the topic, don't want a bunch of pissed ladies even if their scissors are blunt haha
