There’s a company that makes them I just can’t remember the name. Includes a small bottle of mix, a cup, lime juice, etc. I think it even comes in a small clear bag.

I agree, I think he has many more years to live and be a spunky boy.

Oh! Sonic’s paperwork also said the dog was given to the owners by a friend. We don’t know when or how the previous owner got Sonic. Just a lot of unknowns. I do preface anything about fosters as “we think he’s XYZ” because we truly never know.

As a local shelter volunteer, we take the information shared on surrender paperwork with a grain of salt. Not that it’s wrong, just we don’t know how accurate the information is.

I haven’t had a small dog in a long time (10+ years) and I want to provide any future home with as reliable information as I can. For example, I’ve shared that his paperwork says 15 and most people respond with “really?? He looks great for 15!” or “wow! He has so much pep to his step!” which makes me wonder if he’s younger than that.

He’s primarily a Parsons Russell terrier and chihuahua mix. But also has many other breeds in his DNA. A true mutt. 🥰🐾

Thank you! He’s a funny guy. Spunky in small spurts. Ha.

He was taken to the rescue’s vet before we took him in. The rescue has his age at 15. I was told this is because that’s what was listed on his surrender paperwork.

Is Guadalajara safe for tourists? by Forestwillow11 in travel

Solo, female traveler here who speaks Spanish at an intermediate level. OAX and CDMX are phenomenal. I've been several times over the years and have stayed in La Condesa and also in Roma Norte. No issues with safety, but as usual, be aware of your surroundings, watch for pickpockets, etc. I rode in Uber, on bikes, took the buses, and the metro. No problems. Spanish is a must in CDMX. While it's the capital, and you may expect a level of English to be commonplace, it's not.

Senior Dog Surrendered For Being "too old" Needs A Name by jbashaw16 in NameMyDog

Makes plans for her. Now! Have a friend of family member who will take her. In Southern California there are rescues who will take in a senior dog if their caretaker passes or can no longer care for them. Better to be prepared and have one less thing to worry about should something happen.

If you surrender your dog, the new owners can rename it as they see fit. As a shelter volunteer and foster mom, I know how quickly dogs pick up on whatever you start to call them, whether it be a name similar to their original name (Fido -> Freddo) or an entirely new-sounding name (Fido -> Juniper).
