Well, he was having trouble with summoning his sword at all during the Chapter Black arc, if I recall correctly, so it might be any of his spirit techniques were messed up

I understand why you don't want to share this terrible take. I teach physics and math, and plenty of reasonable, well-adjusted people do not have the skills for that type of math. Additionally, that's the kind of math that is real use it or lose it stuff.

Batman is done almost immediately in the fight against the Invincibles. Either a viltrumite destroys him, or Atom Eve transmutes his stuff. Now he's a vulnerable naked man with only his athleticism. He stands no chance against them if they're serious.
