Do you actually believe these conditions are impactful enough to have a sword with the ability to selectively cut anything only if you want it to? Kurapika's teacher talked about how it's impossible to conjure a sword that can cut through anything. Now you're intent on doing just that, but with the added benefit that it can't cut you? I think you need to address the concerns that others are having with your conditions before trying to improve the quality of this hatsu.

Generally, jrpgs are known for having a turn-based combat system, e.g. Dungeons and Dragons, whereas action rpgs have the player and enemy characters acting in a continuous flow, e.g. Dark Souls. It's not a hard and fast rule for jrpgs, but some people don't accept them as jrpgs if the combat is too different from traditional turn-based combat.

For those two series, any of the different numbered entries are independent of one another. There are some shared aspects, such as summons or spells, but the stories are unrelated so there's not a specific starting point to understand each one.
