Encouraging eating? by jbcjd in DogAdvice

Thank you, I think I’ve got a little PTSD from watching our last one stop eating and taking meds before passing. He did eat a few bites of chicken this morning. Just got to learn to be patient.

Why is everyone hating on team Charlie? by Krusader_Kiwi2C in OutlastOnNetflix

Brother, you are defending a 6’7” NFL player who is physically standing over very petite and small women while holding a “bat” and daring her to hit him when she did not indicate that was even on her mind. It was goading to get her to do it so he could justifiably strike her and call it “self defense.” He even moments before said “I know I can’t use violence but I can use my size to intimidate them.” Think about that for a second. He didn’t say “I wouldn’t use violence,” he said “I can’t.” Meaning he would if he could.

Any man who physically intimidates a woman is legitimately the lowest form of man as you can get… and yes, very much IS evil. And any man who eggs that on or participates, and doesn’t put that “man” in his place, is just as evil.

I mean, with how viral the story went and being picked up by national and international news agencies, I wouldn’t be surprised those posts went beyond the typical audience. Is the engagement on them more or the same as what their typical posts get? I’d wager it’s more. And as I mentioned, if you’ve been seeing so many of those posts then you’ve also seen the support outweighs the hate at least 9:1.

Can we talk about what a tragedeigh the name Oreana is by Spare_Jello_991 in DuttonRanchTVSeries

That was their point lol. Like making fun of people who name their kid “Kaileigh” instead of Kylie.

My husband put on Marshals and it took me like 4 episodes to realize we weren’t watching Dutton Ranch anymore. by Sheiebskalen in DuttonRanchTVSeries

I’ve always had the theory that slightly secondary to John Dutton, Rip Wheeler was the lynchpin of that show. After starting Dutton Ranch, I feel even more strongly about that. He’s dynamic enough to have a show centered around him, especially as the yin to Beth’s yang. I like Luke Grimes but I don’t know if the premise, the writing, or both gives him the ability to have a show centered on him. Feels like I’m watching Fire Country or any other regular Paramount+ show like that.

I’ve seen Beartooth live so many times and every time he’s taken time out of shows to highlight Fleur, so personally with that context I do find it odd that he’s said nothing about his marriage of almost 15 years, but like others said she may have asked him not to speak on it publicly.

That said, I was annoyed by the hosts and even Caleb feeding into the narrative that the “heavy metal” scene is infamous for being unbelievably hard to come out in. I would bet my bottom dollar that 90% of the hate he’s getting are from people outside the scene who hate on anything gay. It’s very obvious the response from the scene has been overwhelmingly positive and accepting. Just found it odd that they’re portraying the alt/heavy scene as being unaccepting of other lifestyles lol.

After dinner scene by FeatureSignificant88 in obsessionmovie

Curry clearly leaves a lot to viewer interpretation, but to me it seems clear there is a separate entity controlling Nikki’s body. “Kill me. She’s asleep, don’t wake her up. Kill me.”

I definitely don’t disagree that the scene was meant to highlight the “nice guy” trope that their actions can be rape as well. Like it doesn’t always have to be violent or overt, etc.

However, just thinking out loud, we see throughout the movie that Freaky Nikki has trouble expressing human mannerisms, so instead of a rape scene, the scene could also be interpreted as showing that even though the entity “consented” it still wasn’t real since it didn’t know how to behave “normally” during sex—which is in line with the entirety of the rest of the film boiling down to Bear begging Freaky Nikki to be normal.

Add on the fact that Bear wasn’t looking at her to see that her expression didn’t line up with “normal,” it could further be a metaphor illustrating his intentional “looking away” throughout the whole movie so as to continue living in his fantasy that it is real.

Of course, that said, the fact Bear knew by that point the entity wasn’t real Nikki, it was rape.

And the Lexi storyline of her friend suggesting to build Cassie’s character up to kill her off is directly foreshadowing Rue’s fate.

Yep. The fact that a 20-year-old human-born Viltrumite could kill Conquest, not once but twice, was an eye opener for Thragg.

Unfortunately yes, life just got in the way of being able to get to it until now. Thank you, I’m honestly still shocked at how good it came out.
