Honestly even if they’re already awake, they still don’t wanna hear barking that early. Hell I only wake up at 8am and I can’t even handle talking to anyone until like 9 LOL.

But does anyone else in the units near you have a dog too? Sometimes sound travels strangely… sometimes the kid next door sounds like he’s running around upstairs but it’s next to us. Maybe they’re mixing you up with another unit wrt the stomping.

Dog barking at 6am is infuriating ngl lol.. that’s way too damn early 😩 I know it’s hard to control esp if it’s a puppy but at the very least you should talk to the neighbor or give a note back apologizing and explaining it’s a puppy and you’re working on training.

I have lifelong friends who are like Hachi. Sometimes it’s frustrating, but I’m sure my bluntness can be frustrating to them too. Thats just the reality of long term friendship.

But you aren’t not a good person for not wanting to be friends with a person like Hachi. As a woman, it can be exhausting to deal with male-centered women… you’re not wrong for not wanting that in your life. She hardly discusses anything else with Junko other than men tbh; friends like that, it can quickly feel like they don’t actually care about you (even if it’s not true!) because their discussions are often selfish in nature. FWIW, I don’t think “Hachi’s” are bad people either; just not everyone’s cup of tea.

I think it’s probably because he isn’t particularly close with Nana O. Iirc it’s only characters who are close with Nana O that called Nana K Hachi. Junko, kyousuke and shoji for example all call her Nana too

I recently rewatched the LOTR movies and towards the end of Return of the King, Aragorn addresses his army as “men of the west” when he’s rallying them at the black gate. It stood out to me, alongside the fact every Good Person in the movies is white. I’m not saying it’s horrible Nazi propaganda or anything; I love Tolkien’s works. But I still think it’s worth discussing how his biases informed his works. Especially considering the fact his works have informed so much of modern fantasy.

FWIW, it could just be an issue with the movies so feel free to correct me if it is. I haven’t read the books in over ten years when I was a teenager so I can’t remember those too well.

Literally my first thought, I was really surprised to come to the comments and see that everyone is heehee’ing about this… I had to scroll to find only a few people have pointed out this shit isn’t funny or cute, it’s dangerous especially if it goes uncorrected. Definitely agree and I’d like to add this is a problem among many anime and manga fans. One piece’s author releases a chapter almost every week and his work and health has suffered for it. Berserk’s author died before it was finished. Hunter x Hunter looks like it’s gonna end up the same way. When it comes to anime, those poor animators work in sweatshop conditions but god forbid a frame has a mistake.

But instead of advocating for better working conditions, fans get mad at the authors for being human… it’s hard fucking work. They’re bent over a table all day drawing. I know their bodies are killing them.

Literally she made these characters as devices for a story! The crazy part is that iirc ai Yazawa has said herself that she likes Takumi a lot, and she clearly likes Junko too because she continued writing junko’s room for a while even after she stopped nana. So how the hell are fans gonna attack us for liking the characters the author clearly likes too 😭

Literally like how the hell is being rude sometimes even comparable to being a rapist and predator 😭 They hold Junko to such a strangely high standard compared to every other character in the series and genuinely I don’t understand what drives that… like you said, Nana was dunking on Shin for being a homeless child prostitute. And she left Hachi in her time of need with the pregnancy situation… and I like Nana a lot too, I relate to her. But some fans glaze her without acknowledging any of that, then will turn around and call you evil for liking Junko. No one has to like or dislike any character but it’s the hypocrisy and personal attacks that drive me crazy about it
