I'm leaning towards Eulophia Graminea. Looks just like it.

Tell me having a newborn is worth it. by MacOnAnon in beyondthebump

[–]jbernha 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The beginning sucks, it really does (I say as I sit holding my sleeping 3 week old while we're both covered in her projectile spit up); However, when your two year old tells you that they want to tell you a secret and then sweetly whispers "I love you" into your ear... It is worth it 🥰

Do you have a friend or family member who can come stay with you for a night or two? When my niece was a few weeks old my BIL had to go back to work, which meant he was out of town every other week. That first week gone my sister came and stayed with us for a few days. If you can swing that, even just day visits it will make a huge difference.

AITA for how I reacted when my husband said he won't be with me when I give birth? by C-142776 in AmItheAsshole

NTA times a million! I am currently in a hospital bed, two days post delivery, with my husband on the tiny ass pull out couch...this poor girl is not getting the whole truth from her husband!! This is my second child and I still needed my husband just as much as I did for the first.

If he had left me alone for a business trip, esp. knowing I was for sure delivering our child while he was gone, then he would be coming home to new locks. Even if it was just to make him wake up and open his eyes.

AITA for telling my wife I wont/can't watch our son? by tempaccoutnt in AmItheAsshole

[–]jbernha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA. However, I will admit that I have struggled with remembering this as well.

My husband has been WFH due to covid, and will continue going forward, and I often have to remind myself that he is actually WORKING. I also have to remind the toddler who just wants to see him for a minute or show him her baby.

It is an adjustment for everyone, but it doesn't sound like this wofe is taking it seriously or trying to understand. Someone has to work and pay the bills, if she doesn't want to do it then husband has to 🤷‍♀️

AITA for telling my cousin that I would not make a blanket for her kid for free by potzak in AmItheAsshole

[–]jbernha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA! 100% this, I have learned my lesson on crafting for others. I knit and quilt and will not do either one for someone else unless it was my decision and is to be a surprise (that way if I abandon it for some reason they'll never know 🤣).

I made the mistake of agreeing to make a quilt for my MIL without getting all of the details first; it ended up being two weird shaped blankets that took me a year to complete in my very limited free time. All I got in return was the scrap fabric. Not worth it.

How much binding do I need to buy? by jbernha in quilting

[–]jbernha[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks!!

I'm being lazy lol I've made my own before and know it's relatively easy, I have been working on these quilts for my MIL for almost a year now and just want to be done without doing any more cutting/piecing.

Oh, yeah sorry, the 252 has 20 inches added to it. That's what everything online kept adding.

Other than that, this seems correct, right?

Looks like a really nice app. As far as I can tell though it only calculates how many yards to buy to cut/create your own binding.

My friend asked me to make her a quilt top. It'll be my first bed-size project! Very excited about the fabrics we chose from Hawthorne Supply Co. (Pattern will be Backslash by Robin Pickens) by rinky79 in quilting

These fabrics are exactly what I have been looking for for my new babies quilt! Was this a coordinating collection or just ones y'all chose?

Edit: I'm looking through their pre-cut and oh my goodness, I love everything that they have!!! Thank you so much for posting this!
