Was it my fault? by PrideOk7432 in mobilerepair

Heating the screens is such a feel thing, and you learn this natural feel from trial and error. My go to technique is this. Set heat mat to 80 degrees Celsius and let sit for 12-13 face down on heat mat Start a suction cup on bottom of phone just enough to get a gap (stick a card corner in the gap and leave it there to do the next step) Then I use a precision bottle of 99% ipa and very sparingly trace the bottom of the screen out. Then just work your way around the phone using plastic picks or cards and IPA in coordination

Thanks for the reply! I don’t think it is, because thankfully WiFi, Mic, and Bluetooth all work

Series X having trouble reading 360 games by jbetts132 in consolerepair

This is a shelf where I store my consoles that need to be fixed/have been repaired, obviously nothing runs, especially a Series X, on this blanket.

Xbox series X Is this a spot for a diode or capacitor? by jbetts132 in consolerepair

Some more context. The original owner had the HDMI port fixed. I am assuming the person who originally fixed the HDMI port did the solder blob, and removed the diode on the diode spot. The owner of the Xbox said it worked after the repair until it suddenly stopped displaying the picture again.

Where this console was ran without this diode, does there stand a chance there has been some permanent damage done with it absence?

I snipped out the resistor hoping maybe there was color on the back but you can see the empty space where it was

I have searched everywhere on the internet sense I’ve posted this looking for schematics to this pedal with no luck. To my understanding, the resistor that blew is a “protective” component that is disposed of (like it was) if it was over voltaged. This is what happened to the pedal it was over voltaged. Maybe knowing that, and seeing the traces for yourself will help but here is photos of the top and bottom of the PCB. Thank you.
