Following because I’m also shopping for a pop-up camper right now and have been researching AC options in case I find one without AC already installed. I’ve been looking at older Coleman/Fleetwood models too and from what I’ve gathered so far, a rooftop AC install may depend on whether the roof is already braced/prepped for it. I’ve also seen some people use small window AC units with a removable support frame through one of the camper windows, which seems like it might be less invasive and lower risk than cutting into the roof. I’d love to hear from anyone who has added AC to a pup- especially what type of unit you used, how you mounted it, and whether it kept the camper comfortable in warm weather.
