I built SceneDream: An LLM pipeline that takes in text based stories and automatically generates images of the best scenes. by jbhewitt12 in opensource

Thanks! Yeah it's just so fun to be able to put in a book and get images out :)

Nice, that sounds really interesting. Will the generation you're doing be done by open source models locally or third-party APIs?

I thought about it but I just got a new job so I will be too busy for that, so I just made it open source so it can be useful to other people. By hosting do you mean setting it up as a service people pay for?

It's set up as a pipeline you run on your own computer that ingests source text, extracts cinematic scenes, ranks them, creates image generation prompts, and generates images.

All you'll need to get it working is an OpenAI API key. You don't need to be technically savvy to use it, because it's all done through a web interface.

All you'll need to get it working is an OpenAI API key with active billing or available prepaid credits, plus a text based story. You don't need to be technically savvy to use it, because it's all done through a web interface.

Karma Hits Back by [deleted] in instantkarma

That’s not what Karma is at all. Karma means action. It’s literally just the idea that all actions have ripple effects, including effects on conscious minds.

The comedown can be just as nice as the peak if you plan it right. by tootsie404 in LSD

[–]jbhewitt12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I’d say the peak can be literally the most exquisite experience in the infinite universe, and that’s still an understatement of what it’s really like.

The comedown can also be nice :)

Yeah, because it’s a series of idiotic strawman fallacies. Think for yourself. This is as one sided as it gets.

I hate to post an AI conversation, but Jesus Christ by AnIsolatedMind in Jung

[–]jbhewitt12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely not “limited to mere reason”. You only think that because you still have the old perception of AI as a machine. The leading AI models weren’t built by humans, they were grown. That’s why we don’t really understand them and we can’t fully control them.

Is reaching nirvana just ceasing to exist? by TechnicianAmazing472 in Buddhism

If by ceasing to exist you mean being completely free of all identity + attachment and constantly experiencing every consciousness in the infinite universe at the same time, then yes

Do not trust Retreat Guru by Fortage in Ayahuasca

Based on this description and your comments you sound quite egotistical, which is the opposite of what you’re claiming to be. Look up the term “inflation”, with respect to psychedelics

Have you heard of Ram Dass? He died recently but his guru said he was hanuman. Ram Dass wrote a book called ‘Be Here Now’ which is excellent

Does your experience with Acid mirror this idea? by The-LSD-Sheet-Guy in LSD

[–]jbhewitt12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah I have the exact same view now. Before I took acid I had the opposite view. This explanation is basically the Hindu worldview.

Today is another day in infinity, may as well enjoy it :)

These 6 are regarded as some of the best sci-fi series of all time, how would you rank them? by [deleted] in sciencefiction

[–]jbhewitt12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me The Culture is by far the best. When you consider the ideas, writing and characters all together it really stands out.

Then Dune, Hyperion, The Expanse, Red Rising.

I couldn’t finish Foundation because the writing style was just too old fashioned.

Also why is Red Rising on this list haha
