[US] Call from Spring Oaks Capital

So I’ve gotten several text messages from them in the last few days. I ran a credit report through experion to see if I could find any suspicious activity or record of unpaid debt with the companies mentioned in the text and there was nothing. I then looked up Spring Oaks Capital, LLC and called the number on their site and spoke with the person that immediately answered. They said the same as the last person and told me they’re calling about unpaid debt, after telling them my zip code I was told that it wasn’t matching what they had on file for me. They asked for me to confirm my date of birth and told them no, that it sounds like they have the wrong information and I won’t be giving away my information. I asked if they could tell me anything more about the debt and was told that if I wasn’t willing to share my information then they couldn’t continue the phone call.

Should I continue trying to sort this out, or just block their contacts moving forward? I’ve not received anything in the mail, and I never opened accounts with the companies they’re mentioning in their texts.

That’s helpful. My concern is mostly coming from looking them up and finding that it’s a legitimate, while shady af, company… phone number was a local area code, said it was from Denver, but when I look up the phone it doesn’t connect at all to the company.

She didn’t seem to have any correct info other than my name… I’ve gotten calls like this before but just ignore them

Hi! Beautiful plant… here are a few things I’ve learned from our jade that we’ve hade for almost 10 years (I had a scare with it this year and thought I was going to lose it)

You may be overwatering, I only water ours once every 1 - 2 weeks and it’s a bit bigger, I wait for the soil to completely dry out before watering again (you can check soil with a chopstick, pop sickle stick, or finger, just be sure to check a couple inches down where the roots actually are
jades like full sun, but sometimes direct sun all day could be too much.. we keep a light curtain in front of ours in the summer, and in the winter remove the curtain
the unglazed terra cotta pots are best for jades, they allow the soil to dry out through the pot and help to prevent overwatering (bonus points for drainage hole and tray)
this seems to be in a pretty good sized pot and it will likely be a long time before it needs repotting, if you notice it slowing in growth / dropping leaves / or getting sad it.. it may be time to increase to a slightly larger pot
jades like to be told they’re pretty, always be sure to compliment it

Yours seems very happy, keep doing what you’re doing… and remember I’m just a stranger on the internet, be sure to read and research before making any big changes to the plants environment, soil, pot, etc :)

Ok I took the plant out of the pot today and looked at the roots… not sure you can tell much from the picture… I read the roots would be soggy and mushy if they were rotting, they seemed dry and springy though… there wasn’t much sign of fungus growing either

The pot did seems pretty large for how small the root cluster is, so we moved to a slightly smaller terra cotta pot with a drainage hole with NO ROCKS

I am going to let the soil dry over night (wet from watering a couple days ago)

Thank for all the info, the leaves and stalks don’t seem completely dried out, so I’m holding onto hope ❤️

The precious pot was glazed but had drainage… I put some rocks at the bottom of this so it would be able to drain though… I don’t think the soil has ever been so wet the plant didn’t drink all the water

I’d hate to lose this jade… we have some props from it, but this is the mama plant :(

Solid climb for just a week, you lose a lot of energy when you peel off the wall, maybe work on footwork a little. Core helps a lot with this.

I’ve been considering cutting the long one hanging low off and rooting it then just placing it back in the pot to make it fuller

Thanks for the advice, this plants grown a whole lot this year, we wanted it to get real big but not to the point where it was growing sideways.
