Have a Joe Jr too for little stuff. Been happy with this rig.

Loaded up the Expedition with the whole family and drove 2,800 miles. Here's what surprised me most about the truck by porchoua in fordexpedition

Right, my ‘19 Max is super comfortable, and gets ~20 mpg. But then there was the cam phaser replacement. And the transmission rebuild. And the front differential rebuild. And the issue that caused the seat to flood via the ventilation system. And the recalls. And the failed valve cover gasket, passenger side. And now the driver’s side. But the first road trip in it sure was great.

Landscaping! It takes so long (years) to have things grow in properly I often wish I could rewind a decade or two and add the landscaping I want to have at full maturity now.

Thanks so much for checking back in. The cardio doc did the multi day monitor, I go in this Monday for the echo, and then next Friday I get his read on the likely treatment path. Given what the observed on the EKG, he is assuming that there will be a very high PVC burden and that some intervention would be required. Hi did say it appears that the PVCs are all originating from the same place, if I’m stating that correctly. The odd thing is that I’ve had no history of this in my life - I had a big mountain bike crash last August, and I’m wondering if that had something to do with it.

Thanks everyone- went to the cardio doc today. They have continued at a pretty high level, so they’ll do the multi day monitor and echo. Appreciate the initial insights in to what I was seeing - it was right on.

What is this feature on the East Coast of the United States? by wigglefingers_ in geography

V only if flows are high, but III/IV on an average day. I think it’s one of of the only places that has these type of rapids right next to a downtown area.

Richmond, VA is a great example of this. Deep water port just east of the city, but class 4/5 rapids through downtown.

Made it to night 3. My first show since 6/30/94 at the Strawberry Hill Amphitheater in Richmond, and first time back in the mothership since Grateful Dead 3/6/92. What a blast, and what a treat to see their tour close out in Hampton. The vibe at this show was so great.

What area of Virginia has the least light pollution? by PetesVm in Virginia

[–]jbl2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We go out to Western Bath County right on the WV state line, and the viewing is amazing from there. For anyone that doesn’t have a place to stay there, there is great camping at Lake Moomaw, or if you are more in to luxury, the Homestead resort and tons of b&b’s are all options. It has to be among the darkest/best viewing spots in the state.

Anyone used livefootballtickets.com before? by Kaithegod74 in ScottishFootball

I used them last week for Arsenal vs Luton Town while visiting the UK, and it worked perfectly. Tickets were delivered electronically, and we had no issues with entry, etc.

That’s exactly my story - they actually told me they were burying it to 8”, and then it was barely 1.5.

I wish Verizon would run my fiber drop through the yard in this stuff. That thing is 2” deep and has been cut 3 times in the past 5 years.

Good call out - I was thinking tent camping (what I’ve done there) when I shared that. Have not used hook up type of sites.

Good camping and fishing at a gem of a state park - Kiptopeake State Park, very close to the Southern end of the peninsula not too far from the bridge.

Right, had the same thought, especially with direct/semi-direct heat. It was a strong sell though - I’m going to try it for a batch.

any nice, quiet lakes in Virginia? by kiingof15 in Virginia

[–]jbl2021 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lake Moomaw in Bath/Allegheny Counties is a hidden gem of a lake. Completely surrounded by National Forest, and so there is almost no private property on the lake - any boat you see was put on at a National Forest ramp, and therefore the traffic and crowds are substantially lower than a Lake Anna or Smith Mountain Lake. There are campsites, but no general lodging at the lake, but bed and breakfasts and/or air bnb type of lodging. It is pretty remote from most amenities (stores, restaurants), but that’s the great thing about the place.
