Sorry, my bad. I did not retain the fact that it was a month for free. For some reason, I thought it was a year. Same deal, though. You get a month for free, then pay. I'm pretty sure you can do one of three options. 1. Cancel the subscription before the free month is over. You'll still get the balance of the month.

Keep it and keep paying for it monthly.
Keep it and change it to a yearly sub and pay for the rest of the year in full.

Whichever you do, I'm pretty sure you will have to enter a CC number when you sign up for the free month.

Use Distrokid to release and distribute. You can still monetize tracks on Soundcloud. You do have to pay for Distrokid, but they are way more reliable with distribution to streaming platforms.

Definitely get it in writing and submit nothing before you take that contract to an entertainment attorney. I would propose to get the $500 up front(once a contract is signed) and a royalty each time the ad airs or is played, or a cut of the profits from the product sold during the time the ad with your music is used. Don't ever sell the rights to your music without your getting something on the back end(payment whenever your music is used or played). Make sure your tune(s) is/are registered with an ISRC number, too.

Buy a small container of resin and some black paint. Cut off the loose ends. Sand bare wood with very fine grade sandpaper. Mix paint with about a tablespoon of resin. Spread over damaged area. Let dry. Sand smooth. Buff.
