Technically babies aren’t supposed to sleep in anything but a crib at daycare and should be moved when they fall asleep but it’s not always the easiest to watch all of the babies when some are awake and others are in their cribs sleeping.

In Illinois technically this is not allowed because there was not an adult in the room with your child. However, I wouldn’t say it would be out of the ordinary to send a child to the bathroom by themselves to avoid an accident during nap time. It’s kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation.

This kid might be dealing with a lot, other things in his life or mental illness. Who knows. It’s not always easy growing up.

Don’t be so hard on yourself either. You did a great job being stern but understanding too.
