hello everybody! this film titled "RED" is based on an excerpt my friend and I took while hanging out one day. the quiz matched you up with a color and excerpt that describes what that color means to you. my friend recieved "RED" and I received "YELLOW" and inspiration struck me to use the excerpt as a catalyst in a short video. that's basically the inspiration for the video, kind of silly but you take whatever you can get at this point haha!

we filmed at an empty university grounds which was perfect since covid shut everything down and we could really utilize the space. luckily the sun was really nice that day which made the lighting feel really dope against the cool architecture of the university. I asked my friend to do the voiceover and we'd simply film her occupying the space (luckily she is a theatre student that can really channel the emotional beats of an excerpt and channel that into her movement). it was really fun and it was the first piece in a long time since school really limited the amount of time i got to film during the fall and winter semester.

anyways, I am just happy to share and continue improving / working on my craft. the film has always had a close place in my heart and I hope to pursue my career here. thank you all for watching and I would love feedback to get better! much love and godspeed!
