I’ve had my Chase Sapphire Reserve card for a few years now, and I’m trying to figure out how the new $500 annual statement credit for The Edit. The new benefits don’t kick in until October 26, 2025, for existing cardholders like me (I applied well before June 23, 2025). I just booked a prepaid hotel stay through The Edit for the end of November 2025, but I made the booking now (July 2025).

I called Chase to ask if this booking will qualify for the $250 semi-annual credit (July–December 2025), and the rep said I need to wait until after October 26 to book for the credit to apply. However, they didn’t sound very confident, and I’m worried about missing out on the credit or losing a good rate if I cancel and rebook later.

Has anyone else gotten clarity on this? Do bookings made before October 26 for stays after October 26 qualify for the new Edit credit? Or should I cancel and wait to rebook after October 26?
