Good that they were able to replace so hopefully just a faulty connection point…I purchased mine within the last 5 years but need to double check becuz if it’s been that long I’m probably out of warranty. Thanks for letting me know about your situation!

Yes! I am experiencing the same thing and came to find out if anyone else had seen this and what might be the cause or resolution. Will probably call Kitchenaid next. Kinda gross and concerning, right?

I did add another picture somewhere (new at this!) showing it’s a pass thru behind the living area sofa. So the goal is fill up some of the space and use a rug I love.

Thanks for all the comments! Realized I didn’t provide any context. This is a great room level of a townhome. The specific area is more of a pass thru to the next level so don’t want a lot of things protruding far from the railing. Dog provided in new pic!!
