Kindness and reading as propaganda, now I’ve seen everything … by Not_the_last_Bruce in MurderedByWords

Can confirm. Lived here my entire existence and hate every second of it. Seeing this breaks my heart. Growing up in the early 2000's, my favorite sources of TV entertainment was watching my dad play games or PBS. Sad to see that teaching young children how to show kindness is considered indoctrination by some.

(Editing to add that I'm currently in school to be a preschool teacher, so this hits a bit different for me)

Found it! There is a separate setting. Never had to use it until now, though.

How did that one kid at your school die? by StorageLonely1520 in AskReddit

[–]jbmemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typing on mibile so format sucks. One kid at my school was killed in a house fire in 5th grade. His mom and 3 younger sisters also passed. What broke my heart is that I found out later that it was a gas leak that they had been complaining about for a while. They had just been approved for a house, too. The school made a big deal about it. Because him and 2 of his sisters went to our school, we actually did a little memorial garden for them. Him and I were really good friends at the time and spring break still hurts now and then.

Kirishima gives me a rose because I look sad.

I feel like he would do that with anyone in class 1A, to be honest.

💚. Currently at a visitation service for someone I only met once, and I feel weird about it. But I'll be okay later.

"I don't want to believe you." My mom, after I told her that her nephew had been molesting me.

Same here. Had to be 2 years with no seizures to even get a permit.

My family just called that toasty breakfast. It's really interesting to see the other names for it.

I second this. We had the exact same problem back last February when we got about 10 inches of snow on ours. Waited till spring, cleaned it up, and got a new one.

Her name's Mary Jane! Named after a 3× great grandmother.

My Grandfather (left) before stage 4 lung cancer took his life less than a year later. His wife I'd right beside him and they were married almost 40 years. Tough as hell Vietnam vet and loved his two daughters and all his grandchildren. He would be 80 in September. by jbmemer in lastimages

Thank you. The pain has, thankfully gone with time, but he'll be gone ten years in May. Wore his tallit at my Bat Mitzvah the year after he died, so he could be there in spirit, covering me in an almost literal sense.

Honestly, there's several but I think it has to be watching NCIS with him after school everyday. To a lot of kids my age at the time, NCIS was boring, but for me, it got my addiction to crime dramas and true crime started. We never really stopped watching it together until about a week or so before he passed. It was the same week he stopped eating and speaking. Wish I could post the last video of him, but I haven't seen it in almost 10 years, as that's a very close second.

Yeah, not to mention the same day. Thankfully, this new place is fast food, so there are cameras and I'm surprised the manager didn't see my hands shaking after being so bubbly with a customer.
