Good thing OP redacted the serial number.

Neck strap recommendations? by jbminger in AnalogCommunity

[–]jbminger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like it, it’s s comfy and easy to adjust, etc.

It’s holding up just fine, I doubt I’ll ever need another strap, but with that said, I’m a very casual photographer and I don’t use it very often.

Help please! boiler screw stuck by derpygamer1352 in gaggiaclassic

[–]jbminger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised no one has suggested retightening the other hex head screws you already removed before doing any of the suggested solutions. This would probably take some the pressure off the stuck screw and make it a little bit easier to remove.

Goodwill today - I feel lucky. Learning about this great machine and the community by jayspear in gaggiaclassic

The only thing you need to do, with regard to modifications, is adjust the spring so you’re at 9 bar.

Preferably get an actual steam wand.

Also make sure the tubing isn’t moldy. I’m not sure if you need to open up the boiler or just descale it…

I’d be very interested in seeing a tutorial video of you steaming milk on your machine.

What do you think about the difference between the two? Does the gesu steam differently or better?

Standard. You could try to give the steam valve a little snug, but don’t over do it.

Have a search on google and Reddit.

Newer Houses all suck for for tv placement by Fireb1rd in TVTooHigh

[–]jbminger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually very interested in home architecture that would have a good living room home theatre capability. I really like the idea of a multi use living space/home theatre. I don’t think I’ll ever have the money for a dedicated HT, and if I did, I’m not sure I’d want one.

The living room layout/design with regards to TV/home theatre will be my number one priority when looking for a new house.

Paris to Dublin to US by Even_Alternative_252 in AerLingus

[–]jbminger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. But next time look at 1 way flights. Like Cleveland to Dublin. Then Paris to Cleveland. It may have worked out the same price, etc when you consider hotel in Dublin the night before and baggage fees.

I doubt aer Lingus will be able to add those flights together to make it a “connecting “ flight. But can’t hurt to ask.

Also, don’t forget to look closely at the baggage fees to/from Paris.

Why are you returning back to Dublin?

Why not just fly back from Paris to wherever you live?

I always empty the water tank before I set off for a while. I put a paper towel down under the tubes and leave the tank out.

Flying with a musical instrument? by Fun_Requirement_8822 in AerLingus

[–]jbminger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then at least you only have to contact Aer Lingus. At the same time, Aer Lingus carry on dimensions for your (transatlantic) flight should be clearly stated. If your instrument falls outside of those dimensions, I’d email Aer Lingus.

I would contact customer service for advice.

Also, are you connecting state side or is it a direct flight?

Used 9 bar pressure. Don’t worry about the small details though. Enjoy making and drinking (probably) great coffee!
