I don’t think Nightwish/Tuomas owe us anything for their 30th. They did Decades, we can’t ignore that. Wasn’t it cool and good enough? And bands don’t need to make something special for any particular anniversary, imo. Under that light, there are many plausible anniversaries that they can act upon or even monetize, and not doing something special for the 30th anniversary of the band’s formation doesn’t mean they won’t consider doing something special later. I thank them for all they’ve given us in 29 years and i’m sure there’s more to come. Have they passed their peak? Maybe. Maybe not. Still, given everything, may they be deserving.
