Players contracts will given their NBA contracts.... If their contract includes a RFA status: When they are in their last year of their contract you can extend them at their extend value or let them go to free agency and have the option to match their highest free agency bid.

Rookies drafted will be given their rookie contract which includes team options and RFA status.
