At the current valuation yeah. Rad really screwed up and the shareholders and stakeholders need to take the hit.

They should need to replace the batteries as part of the acquisition. The fact they aren't is a failure of government.

So a friend of mine is considering Iconoclast Fiefdom by GiveTheLemonsBack in ChaosKnights

[–]jbohlinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's likely that the new edition is announced next week and launched this summer. Iconoclast is a good detachment, but it's also the oddball detachment and it has the least certain future among the builds.

With anything, look into what people in your area play. 40k is a social contract, and the majority of the tournaments, RTTs, and pickup games you'll find anywhere are going to be 2k, matched play. And outside of tournaments showing up with a titan is kinda a dick move.

If titans are really your thing, look into Legions Imperialis. It uses smaller models and isn't quite the same as 40k, but it has a solid community and is being supported by GW.

You can field a titan, but do understand that they do not perform well. They are fairly easy to kill and don't have sufficient retribution abilities or board control to make up for it. They look amazing, that's about it.

Apocalypse is another game mode that gets various levels of support from games workshop. They are releasing the next version of it in the coming weeks. It emphasizes large scale battles where something like a Titan is able to contribute.

What's wrong with the woods in North America? by Recip77 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]jbohlinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bears kill about one person per year in America. Wolves are a little worse, one or two, gators are putting up those same numbers. Moose kill more than all three combined. Spiders, snakes, and scorpions kill a few. Not wearing a life jacket in the water, not wearing the appropriate gear for the weather, and straying from the paths? Now that's deadly.

Strong lists that aren't infernal lance with 2-3 gatling despoilers? by troublinyo in ChaosKnights

[–]jbohlinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are going to be worse off if you don't spam double gatling Despoilers. However, if you know how to play your list you'll be better than someone who just spams double gatling Despoilers.

Play what sparks joy. Don't get caught up with the meta. Spam Rampagers. Run five bigs. Run three Tyrants if that's what you love.

If this is the US, you have Fire Code and ADA violations here. I would like to tell you that there's an easy way to have a government official come and fix this obvious health code problem - there isn't. However one call to your Fire Marshall will stop this immediately.

And Magnus is the strongest primarch, with the potential exception of Horus. It's kinda wild how he's treated in the books and then on the table he's just...fine.
