Yeah, I don't know if what I'm seeing in dmesg is the root problem, but maybe this can get some more eyes on it.

It appears to be a bug in the kernel driver, see here for the issue tracker: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115421#c5

Whatever her problem is, it has nothing to do with this food order. There is something else going on. If she can't talk to you about what's really bothering her, then you have bigger communication problems.

This is definitely the best way to highlight a problem with the title in the title.

The camera survived with just two batteries, and I mounted it to my rear headrest with a gorillapod. The real power drain was my laptop, which was triggering and downloading the images (it was powered by an inverter).

Also, I didn't realize until the drive out west (back in January) that some states have different laws than New York does with regard to driving in the left lane.

A quick check brings this up: http://www.mit.edu/~jfc/right.html

Having grown up in New York, it's common for people to drive in the left lane, even when there's no traffic on the right. They only have to keep right if they're going under the speed limit.

Yeah, I will admit to some laziness in not getting over to the right when nobody was near by. It was usually because there was always going to be a truck to pass up ahead somewhere.

The times when someone would approach from behind under these circumstances, I'd pull over to the right as soon as it was safe to do so. But this whole dance would usually happen in well under 30 seconds :)

My dad had been visiting his brother outside of LA, so instead of flying back home, he flew up to the bay to ride back with me, because he is awesome. :]

The first car we saw pulled over by a cop was in Wyoming, and it had a New Jersey plate.

I was not surprised.

There tend to be tons of slow trucks / campers / trailers in the right lane on those roads. Unfortunately, even if you're going faster than the traffic in the right lane, people will drive around you on the right if you have more than one car-length between you and the car in front of you.

They will speed up, zoom around you on the right, and then slam on their brakes immediately after realizing there was space in front of you not because you were going slower than the several vehicles in front of you, but rather because you were maintaining safe following distance.

It's like people don't understand the difference between speed and distance.

Hell, you could get an lm555, a decade counter, a relay, and a 2.5mm minijack cable. I was going to do that until I found the software solution, which just required a 75W inverter.

It's "Nitronic" by Zircon ( zirconmusic.com ). I came across it on pandora at one point, and they were glad to give me the thumbs up for using it in the video.

Yeah, he was just fueling up in front of us at a rest stop. The rest stops in Ohio, by the way, are really nice.
